The Local _ Stockholm _ What is happening in Stockholm next weekend?

Posted by: Babyclyde 8.Jan.2006, 06:33 PM

Can anyone make some suggestions that two OLD people would enjoy during Saturday and/or Sunday afternoons and evenings? He is 76 and she is 71, so no disco dancing  . We will be staying on BirgerJarls gata near the Kunglia Bibliotek. Our mornings will be at the Stads Arkitvet. All suggestions will be appreciated!

there's an opera at the opera house on saturday afternoon at 3pm, the "all Sweden" hockey game, a mozart concert at Gustav Adolf Church (kungsträdgården) and a bunch of different jazz things...

what do you think they would like?

a nice dinner at a variety of restaurants and a stroll back to the hotel is a nice evening...passing the skaters at kungsträdgården etc...

You gave some good information.
How about anything Carl Michael Bellman or Evert Taube?
Not the statue or the grave, thank you

there's a tiny museum on långholmen (off of the western tip of södermalm)...can't really say i'd recommend it unless you are HUGE fans... but the guy that runs it is a huge fan...and if there's anything going on in town to do with bellman...Lasse (pronounced lassie) would know or could recommend. the number to the museum is +46 8 669 69 69
