Malmö areas to live

Any advice on these?

Hi, we're looking for a rental apartment and I was wondering if anyone has anything good/bad to say about V?stra Hamnen and also M?llev?ngen?

V?stra Hamnen - excellent.
M?llev?ngen - shitty, but not the worst.

I would call these areas less desirable but I would not call them dangerous for the average white person. If you mind your own business you'll be fine, but I would not recommend carrying around your new expensive laptop in the middle of the night, or parking your brand new Mercedes on some streets (although some kids may leave it alone thinking it belongs to a mafia member).

I realize this is all relative. Some good areas of Russia I grew up in in the 90's would be a lot more dangerous than the shitties areas in Sweden :-)

In Russia you were not distinct. Beeing whity in non white areas increases chances to get troubles many times.

I have lived near Folkets park and now in slottstaden both are pretty nice areas to live in.

Yes, most people who tell you to avoid certain areas have likely never set their foot in those areas themselves.
