The Local _ Gothenburg _ Sales job available in Gothenburg

I'm new to posting in the forums here so first off, Hi Ya'll!

So, I have a job here in Göteborg calling the Chicago area for a Swedish IT company who has recently opened an office there, booking introductory/sales meetings with companies in the region. It pays fairly well, decent hourly plus commission on booked meetings, and the hours are from 16:00 to 21:00.

The reason I am posing here is that my boss is interested in hiring a second person to do what I am doing. Basically the only requirement is that you are a native english speaker and have some level of skill dealing with people. I'm sure maybe some experience in sales would be a plus although I don't have any and I do fine. Boss is a cool guy, very flexible. Free to work out your own schedule.

Anyway, I am just trying to guage the interest level and maybe find other ways to put it out to the English speaking community here in Göteborg. So?

Well, it's not exactly selling but I suppose it's almost the same thing. We are just booking meetings with businesses at which point the fellow in Chicago will do the selling.

I don't understand what you mean with "I can make the calls from here." Are you in Chicago? This is really only open to people here in Göteborg. The office we call from is located in Olskroken.

I will be moving to Gothenburg in a couple of months and an opportunity like this will be awesome.
I have graduated from a business school here in New York and have a lot experience in several fields and i think i can make a great contribution to this position.
Is there any way i can contact you once i arrive to see if you have any similar openings?

I think Frey was wondering how this business of calling people in Chicago works, since he can make phone calls from his own home, and so theoretically, if he knew the details of whatever it is that you do, he could do the same from home.

@Gwrhyr - I see now what he meant. The calling is in fact done through skype so working from home is an option. I have been presented with it but find my effectiveness goes way down when doing so. In the office here with other people it's easier to stay motivated.

i have a small amount of telesales experience here in göteborg,dealing with the uk,though i believe the job description,as in booking is a much less stressfull enviornment.i've often been told i'm never backward in coming forward so this sounds right up my street,especially if the chap is easy going and somewhat flexible.therefore i would appreciate if you could pm me the details etc,cheers.

If the position is till available I am interested. I worked in a similar capacity for 2 weeks in May thi s year here in Sweden. I was the only agent who achieved targets. I used to work as a Regional Marketing Manager, Project Manager then a Learner Retention and Special Projects Manager training students on contact center skills including, voice projection, tone etc. I was also one of the top consultants when I worked as a senior recruitment consultant one of my other attribute to my success was my ability to get a client to listen to me. So...an update here. I have replied I think to those of you who have inquired about the job so far. It is in fact still available and if anyone else is interested it would be great to hear from you.
