Hello everybody
I have just arrived to Sweden some weeks ago. I found this forum and I have just registered, I think it is very interesting. I am writing because...woow I can't believe how much expensive it is here¡¡ I do not know many places in Sweden, just my city, Linköping. I was wondering if it is the same in the whole country. And, if anyone knows any "cheap" hairdresser's shop or barber shop etc etc here in Linköping, I would like to know too. Regards¡¡ |

Last Monday I was in Linköping Centrum for lunch with a friend. One think we both commented on was the preponderance of hair dressers around.
We happened to be walking in an area that I used to live in 10 years ago and a lot of businesses had shut down over the years and are now hairdressers including an Asian Livs that I used to shop at every week. We both thought that the prices have to be high because of the lack of customers. We passed 5 between the car park and the restaurant and none of them had any customers. I have not been to a barber for over 20 years when I was charged £20 in the UK for a trim that took less than a minute. Nowadays my wife trims around the sides when it is needed and gives the top a bit of a polish ![]() |

Costs 160-200 kr for a guy to get his haircut in Gbg. Fucking rip off, it was 8 quid in the UK.

i cut once with other so called "hairdresser" charged me 300 kr but it was a nightmare, basically they just spray your hair like a plant, and simply cut them off, never again. |

There's cheap and expensive places..
http://www.frisörlinköping.se/ is probably not even all of them..In the end of the day if you cut your hair in the city center its expensive, if you go outside of town then its cheaper.. i wouldn't pay more than 200kr. |

Hey!
Did someone find any cheap hairdressers in Linköping? Or, any with reasonable prices? I found a site, www.frisör-linköping.se, with all salons. However, there were no price listed.. BR, |

I bought a 300kr haircut kit and just do my own.
I can´t believe the cost for a hairdresser cut in this Country. Lets not even get started on the cost of razors and blades for shaving. |

I bought a 300kr haircut kit and just do my own. . I can´t believe the cost for a hairdresser cut in this Country. . Lets not even get started on the cost of razors and blades for shaving. With my 'monk's style' I will certainly not pay out the 200:- they ask now. I got a shock back in 1960 when I went for my first trim here, and the barber asked for 9,50- I had been used to getting my locks trimmed for 2/6 in those days. Since then they have always maintained that excessive chharge over what you are used to from the UK. I, too. have got myself a trimmer and manage quite well. It matters but little if the taper is not what it should be, since at 84 who looks at an oldie? I even use the trimmer to keep the chin whiskers shortish. There is the same blade in my razor that came with it some four years ago ! ! OK - so I am mean with it.. Definitely a DIY job these days. ![]() |

Seven quid at my place in the UK including home visit.
Seven euros at my Barbers in Spain. Always let our lass cut it in Sweden rather than be ripped off. |
