Well Guys, a little uppdate on my case

Yesterday, I got a notification from Migrationsverket saying that they have sent me a letter asking for more informations about me. That occured exactly 3 weeks after the court decision. I guess that is a good sign since Migrationverket are starting looking at my case.

I didnt get the letter yet, but i hope that everything will be fine

Cheers

You could have sent your passport once you got decision from MV court . It might have speed up things .
I would suggest other members as well that they can send their passport to MV if one doesn’t need for immediate travel .
They can save some time in receiving letter and sending passport .
If MV has already Passport then once case office assigned they can decide the case pretty much earlier.

Cheers

I have already send my passport back 3 weeks ago after the court decision. Remember that they are asking you to send the Residence Card in original and the report about your travels.

Hello Friends,

can you tell me if I am eligible to apply for Citizenship.

First time lived in Sweden on work permit for 15 months and left Sweden

After one year again entered Sweden on work permit. This time stayed continuously for 3 years 10 months and got PR a month back. so I have stayed WP(5 years 1 month) + PR (1 month)

so am I eligible to apply now or should wait one more year?

I think you were on visiting researcher that could get PR in this way, having visa when you were outside Sweden in between. Please correct me if I am wrong. Anyhow, to my understanding you are not eligible for citizenship since you do not fulfill the criteria for hemvistid. Because you have been outside Sweden for a long time, one year, your hemvistid would be counted from your second entrance and thus you still need to stay at least one year and 2 months to complete 5 years consecutive hemvistid in Sweden. Of course, there are exceptions for hemvistid such as living with a Swedish partner that make the story different.

Hi,
I received the court decision and it ordered Migrationsverket to make a decision on my case as soon as possible.
