Which is why I cashed in all my UK pensions and other assets when I moved to Sweden in 2003.
With A no deal Brexit looming in 10 days, I must have been clairvoyant. 16 years ago. The downside has been it has not stopped UK based financial service companies pestering me with cold calls. |

It's really interesting that the EU decided to make the UK's exit such a soap opera. Didn't have to be that way, but making it a disaster, at the entire UK's expense, is essentially a well planned warning to the rest of the member states.
And all this drama is directed by un-elected "officials" in Brussels. |

The UK is free to withdraw at any moment, but they seem to be hell-bent on getting some kind of trade deal with the worthless EU. |

The Association of British Insurers said pensioners who receive their payments into bank accounts in their adopted countries could be left without cash. It is scare news/tactic from those wishing to remain tied into the EU framework. Pension companies that might lose passport rights would just need to set up additional subsidiaries in each EU country and pay from those into your account, alternatively an individual could open a bank account in the UK and have the pension paid into that. |
