'fraid i can't say, it's about number of driving hours and whether you think they're worth it.

i haven't been to nordkap and i can't say i'd prioritize it, but loads of people go, so i guess there's a pull.

i loved lofoten. it's actually a series of islands. we spent nearly a week just on lofoten and we covered å-andennes.

we flew in and out of bodö, took the post boat to svolvaer, rented a car (reservations are a MUST) drove down to å and then up to andennes then back and flew back to bodö from svolvaer.

My son worked at the hotels at the Nord Kap, during his university semesters a couple years back!

One piece of advice,be prompt at meal times, otherwise you will have pickings to select from!

*there are many German and Chinese guests, say no more*

Well here's what I did.

I actually went to/from Malmo, but I've only included the relevant bit:

Day 1 Umea to Pajala, side trip to Gammelstad.
Day 2 Pajala to Alta, visit rock drawings.
Day 3 Round trip to NordKapp, so no I didn't do the Midnight sun thing (it was August!).
Day 4 Alta to Tromso.
Day 5 Tromso to Narvik.
Day 6 Narvik to Bodo, visit Saltstraumen (a waste of time that was!).
Day 7 Bodo to Mo i Rana via the coast road.

So replacing Day 7 with Bodo to Lulea, not having to do Umea to Lulea and missing out the 100 km detour to Tromso, I guess that there just enough slack to do Narvik to Bodo via Lofoten. You need to be damned sure of your fery booking from Moskenes, I doubt that you just turn up and get on the next one!

Why is it the fault of the guests that the serving plates are not refilled.

It is no problem at all. I drove from Lulea to Lofoten in one day. Went whale watching one day and drove back the next day. That was a 3 day and it was in Nov.

It is absolutely beautiful up there in May!!!

Have fun. I bet it will be a great trip.
