You have to become a member to use it. Is this a little ploy to get members.
The Local was better in the old days before the comments section was removed.
It was returned several months ago, as a sign-up bonus...
I must be more alert in future, do you know if it is worth it.
I enjoyed the comment section because it was "policed" and regulated at the time and the "loonies" we have today would not last...
I stopped reading TheLocal because it was taken away and am now used to not reading at all...
I'm in a similar situation.
I used to only read the headlines, then skip straight to the comments. I do that with most news sites actually. News articles these days rarely contain any more useful information than what is in the headline already.
Now I don't bother at all. The comments are boring. I prefer unfiltered comments, where anyone can contribute, loonies included (one man's loony is another man's leader).
"(one man's loony is another man's leader). "
Point taken...
I am a member, or at least I've been paying for something since November
But apparently I'm not enough of a member to be able to comment on articles. It seems to be broken.
