Note that you will pay 190 SEK a day if you don't have insurance.

Have you checked this?

One thing you can try is to get official letters from your past insurer indicating with official lingo "no claims". For each and every vehicle and go as many years back as you can. The more letters you can produce, the better are your chances of seeing a reduction.

Then present it to your new insurer and ask them to install the bonus. Keep in mind, ALL vehicles "on-road" (that is not taken out of road) requires insurance by law, even if only parking insurance (i.e. vehicle is not in use). You will get a fine if you don't do this, if the vehicle is registered in Sweden.

Also, talk to your insurance company and explain that you have X years experience, no claims etc etc. See what they can do for you. They are essentially treating you as if you got your license yesterday and unless you speak up and try to get it sorted, it will stay that way.

And remember, Swedes will always default to the worst case scenario for you (silently) because often it means they will make more money. And they will try to capitalise off of your lack of experience in Sweden.

Previous insurance matters less here. Whilst you are partially the risk, you are in the main insuring the vehicle not the user. Once insured any can drive or ride it.
