Hi Buddys,

I was asked more information by case officer last Tuesday and sent it on the same day.

Is there anyone having experience of how often should I follow up my case?

I am so thankful for your answer or suggestion.

P.S Applied extension after 4 years on 25th Jan

To follow up, you need to call them all the time.

MV will not give you any priority before case officer is assigned.

Once you have been assigned a case officer then it is up to the case officer to deal with your case. You may call them around the time when you expect to get your visa.

I was expecting my visa to be processed in 7 months. Around 7.5 months time in the morning I called and and my case officer said that he will try to get it by end of that day. I did get the email in the afternoon.

So if I had not called them that day I would not have gotten the visa on same day. So calling the case officer has helped me. I would not encourage any one to call before their time though, that just makes things worse for every one.

Hi, guys,

My name is David, earlier this year, I have got an offer from Stockholm Company. My job title is Software engineer. My employer helped me to initiate the visa application in MV, and then I filled in my wife and daughter's info. The application was submitted at 23rd of May, 2016. Until last week 10th of Aug, I called MV services, we are still not getting assigned case officer, she said "a lot of people were on vacation and leaves in Summer time, but they should be back now, and process time will be faster than before. For your case, normally it will take 2 to 4 months, since your employer is not certified with MV. And you should probably get case officer next month on September, once case officer is assigned, and your documentation is all good, the decision should be made right away. "

So, hope these can help anyone who is waiting for the decision. I really hope everyone can get their decision soon.

Best Regards
David
