May 22nd. I believe.
It's a round of the Scandinavian Championship with teams from Copenhagen, Oslo, Gothenburg, Malmö and Stockholm.

What a great day it was. The sun came out along with about 150 curious spectators...
Just a damn shame that The Local didn't seem so interested to get involved in promoting it. So much for the site being a conduit for the expat community. Very disappointed in the lack of coverage that the fixture was given here.

A big Thanks to everyone from Gothenburg who travelled the long distance for the weekend. Irrespective of the result, it was a great game played with a great competitive but friendly spirit just as it should be. As was previously posted, Stockholm Gaels had the benefit of depth but that didn't stop the visitors piling on the pressure, especially late on in the game with one of their lady players scoring probably the goal of the match.

The post match festivities were hosted by Ronan and the lads at The Dubliner where the craic was 90 with a good ol sing song for all in attendance.

The Stockholm Gaels look forward to the journey south to Copenhagen for the first leg of the Scandinavian GAA championships and giving Gothenburg a chance at getting one over the capital.

All credit to everyone who made the day a great one.

Can't be arsed reading the entire thread...

If it wasn't for Ryanair, there'd be no low cost airline fares in Europe! Simple as that!
If you don't like flying with them for whatever reason, don't fcuking fly with them and stop the whinging and moaning! FFS! huh.gif

Ok, the search function is bollixed at the moment so I'm starting a new thread...

Now that I've been given the boot, no more work phone! D'oh!

Any tips on which prepay sim card is the best?

My usage is generally texting and data (gotta have FB mobile) so I guess 3G is preferable.

Cheers

QUOTE (Muttlestar Galactica @ 10.Jun.2009, 03:55 AM) *
Tsk, just another bitter member of the IRA (Ipshit Residents Association), bitching cos they aint a city.

Just let it go! At least Suffolk has Beccles and The Swan House. Whereas Ipshit itself has a distinct lack of decent eateries.

tongue.gif

Oh my God!!! Never have I heard anyone mention the town of Beccles!!! That's the town of my first and only love!
Beccles might be on the border but it's still Suffolk!

It was a civil case so they will not be sentenced to a custodial sentence.

At the earlier criminal case, the prosecutution couldn't prove "beyond reasonable doubt" their guilt. That's why the families took the civil action which is based upon the probability of their guilt.

Woooo... His Royal Foxiness met Mark and Humpers last night!!! laugh.gif Also Bondie (for the first time in ages!) and Plowbridge (Man, I never realised that Plow and Eric Cantona were brothers!!)

Fine appearances also from Tasma, Mo, Jamie, Pagey (think I've got him into trouble AGAIN!) Collan, Littlest... the list goes on but I was too langered to remember everyone!

Mark gave us a couple of great renditions such as Sympathy For The Devil (see FB for proof). Brian was something else on the Rawk banjo.

Turned out to be a great night

Let the fun and games continue today...

QUOTE (Aneud @ 5.Jun.2009, 12:02 PM) *
I can't believe how removed from knowing anything about clubbing I am. Being over 30, even by 10 months is sure showing!

Ah will ye ever leave it out! 30? shur you're only a young whipper snappr!!

Where ever the final venue is tonight... I wouldn't worry about a dress code!!

O'Cs = Casual (Couple of lads playin tonight and should be a good laugh - bit of a sing song if you're that way inclined!! From 9pm)
Kvarnen = Casual
Kellys = Casual - Rocker!
Medusa = Rawk! Metal! But casual is good as well. (I really like the music in this place (well, upstairs))

Although you'll look a little out of place in Kelly's and Medusa is you turnup in a suit.

I concur with Mr. Cantona. Forget about the bickering that goes on here, it's not like that IRL. So just jump on in.

(Althought Noobies have to buy the first round!! ph34r.gif )
