(edit title) Moving to Gävle Student looking for jobs and friends in Gävle Options

I just got an account on here so first of all, hello!

I'm a 19 year old guy who has finished my first year at university in England and I am now taking a gap year. For the first part of my gap year, I want to move to G?vle around October time and live there until at least the new year. This is so I can get some more 'life experience' - I want to know what it feels like to live away from England (if anyone is wondering why G?vle in particular, it's because I have family there).

So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any jobs that would be good for an English speaker in G?vle? I was thinking that schools or families that need au pairs would benefit from a native English speaker.
I do speak Swedish as well but English is my mother tongue. However, the most important thing is that I get a job so if I have to, I can get a job where I need to speak Swedish. Does anyone know how I would go about getting a job in G?vle? Is it difficult? I don't really mind what I'm doing, even if it's scrubbing toilets - as long as I'm earning money.

Also, it would be nice to get to know people in G?vle, and it would probably make it easier if they spoke English I've seen on this website before that people have mentioned the English speaking society in G?vle. Does it still exist? And do they do anything else apart from going to the pub?

No... it shows up in the main feed. I think perhaps, there have just been so many threads on the subject, that perhaps people are not really wanting to go through it again.

The synopsis is, Swedes can basically speak English better than English speakers can, and jobs are scarce for everybody, all around.

Can your family members in G?vle not assist you in networking, and possibly finding a job?

As for au pairs, from what I know, there isn't much of a culture for it in Sweden. However, have a look on AuPairWorld.com https://www.aupairworld.com/en. Register an account and give it a shot. It's worth the try? Although, as an aside, I personally have never heard of a male au pair before. Very cool to see both genders interested in it
