Hi,

Just moved to Sweden and wondering if anyone knows a good dental insurance? My university does not cover these and I know that this can become expensive without insurance. Anyone knows a good one?

Thanks for your help

You can purchase dental insurance via frisktandvård. Here is all you need to know: http://www.folktandvarden.se/in-english/frisktandvard/

Personally, I have found dental care here to be extraordinarily cheap; I still don't understand why people say it's so expensive. Then again, my dentist in the states was in Beverly Hills so maybe she just charged me an arm and a leg, but I just had a ton of work done at folktandvården and it cost me less (with no insurance) than my copay cost me for less work done WITH insurance back in the states. Anything you pay beyond 3000kr in any given 12 month period gets discounted by 50% which also makes it much more affordable. So - take that for what it's worth!
