I think this list is very questionable. Ridiculous to be honest, it is so clear that the did not get their facts right. Especially if they think that Norway is cheaper then Sweden, please explain to me why the Norwegians would cross the border and do their shopping in Sweden if it was more expensive?
@entry: The reason for LEGO products 'being cheaper' in the U.S. is that the prices on the website in USD is without the taxes, this gets added on when placing the order, how much depends on the state. In Europe all taxes are already added. In the end, the prices in the US are still a bit cheaper, this is down to the fact that the products for the American market are produced in either the US or Mexico, where material and labor is a lot cheaper then in Europe. All prices are also adjusted to the local markets, therefore it makes sense that it's a tad cheaper over there than in Sweden, who's products are made either in Denmark or Czech Republic.
@Mb65: Which world do you live in? If you seriously think that London is cheaper than Stockholm? Maybe you found a product which was, but you also have to take in to consideration that many people in London gets paid GBP 5.70 an hour or maybe between GBP 14000-17000 a year, BEFORE tax. A normal rent for a double bedroom is around GBP 160+ a WEEK. My travel card for zone 3-6 + the overground to my work costs me GBP 172 a month. In Stockholm I paid around SEK 670. My rent was SEK 5000 including EVERYTHING, and that was furnished. I was taxed 28% whilst here I am taxed 20% PLUS National Insurance PLUS Council Tax (if you rent an apartment). In Stockholm I paid between SEK 19-45 for a beer, here I pay minimum GBP 2.80. I paid around SEK 40 for my cigarettes, here I pay at least GBP 4.50. I paid SEK 45 for a large pizza where I lived, here it''s GBP 6.50 for a SMALL one. Electricity is more expensive, houses are too, plus that the standard of them are extremely poor in comparance, so is public transport. Now when snowing the council does nothing to clear it, no grit, no salt, no nothing. Pathetic. Think it might be time for you to pop over to London and get an update regarding the prices.

I really can't see the drama? What he said was:

"I think immigrants and immigrant runned companies are amazing. Last night some idiot did the no 2 in our stairway (and put their scarf there). I called my cleaning company which is run by immigrants who in just half an hour sent over a Russian lady who cleaned and sanitised the stairs. That's what pro-work policies are all about, that on a Sunday, in just half an hour be able to get an excellent cleaner who does an amazing job!"

What's so wrong with that? He didn't say that immigrants should only clean up the poo after "us proper Swedes" did he?

Aww! Poor people in Sweden where the rents are between 2500-6500 for a 1-3 bedroom flat, with a large kitchen, balcony and living room. It must be tough! Especially considering they might have to pay around 650 kronor for a travel card which you can use on all public transport 24h a day. Considering you might earn around 16 000-22 000 a month on an unskilled work it must be so hard!
Thank God for London. I mean I earn around 18500 kronor a month, the rent for the bedroom is 9700 kronor + bills and I pay around 2900 to get to and from work each month. If I decide to go to central London or visit a friend, that is of course not included in that price...

I don't know about that number. As I wrote, the number did not come from me.

And, I think that the States should accept more immigrants than Sweden, considering that they have about 272 million more citizens than Sweden does?

If you do the numbers compared to the amount of citizens, that means that the States should accept over 3,000,000 immigrants a year to be in the same situation as Sweden is right now.

Considering that many immigrants and refugees flee from countries that the U.S. is attacking, I think that the U.S. has an even greater responsibility than any other country.

It is not shame if sweden recieves more refugees because we need different people from different countries with their knowledges. what is important is make jobe creation so that this immigrants will make defference in future look United States of America. 55000 immigrants are allowed to inter USA per year. All madical doctors engneers and highly qualified peolpe in the world gone to USA. Why EU doesn't want? Sweden must get more immigrant till 2015.

Sweden has around 9,300,000 citizens, the United States of America has around 281,000,000...

Last year Sweden had over 100,000 immigrants coming to the country, and the States (according to you) had around 55,000...I think Sweden is doing it's fair share?

I am soooo looking forward to this! Can't believe it has been a whole year already!

This year there I have to say that the Scandinavians are f-ing great!

Absolutely LOVE Norway, Sweden too. Also like Denmark, Iceland and (I am sorry to admit) even Finland.

Thanks to Andrew Lloyd Webber even the UK has a good entry, and so does Ireland.

God Bless Northern Europe! lol. Hopefully Sweden won't, yet again, end up in 18th place!

Unfortunately we're away next weekend. Can't believe it! Am looking forward to a long weekend away, but my God, does it have to be at the same time! Will be a bore w*ore and be sitting in the hotel room watching television! haha. That's how sad I am!

Shame though that it's held in homophobic, crappy Russia. A Pride Event was planned at the same day as the final (I hope that it is still planned!), but was (of course) banned by the mayor of Moscow "we've never had, and never will have a gay pride in this city".

So behind. And they wonder why noone likes them (the Russians), and why we think they are weird...

That's completely different.

It is a pharmacy. Not a "religious butcher". It is England not Saudi Arabia. They do stock this pill, but he refused to sell it to her based on his own religious views. Which should have nothing to do with this. If you can't do your job properly, don't do it at all.

Obviously I don't follow this year's Idol very much, but I do see the occasional clip on tv4.se and youtube and I have to say, these two guys are just great!

Andi Joseph (The Aussie): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRvHN7v1KnA

and,

Anna Bergendahl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY-74msryXw

Whilst this girl seems to think that it's Bollywood Idol? (She sucks!):

QUOTE (Bender B Rodriquez)
Ok so let's review the questions and see if you would be able to anwer them:

Hmm, I would not be able to answer most of those questions correctly to be honest. But at the same time I think that most people in the world wouldn't be able to do it either...And to be honest, I don't really care. I know a lot of jews, homos and others were murdered, it was terrible, it should not happen again etc. Now get over it and move on. Maybe focus on what's happening today instead? Similar things are happening all the time, so obviously people did not learn much from this experience.

The difference between Sweden and England though is that the council in Sweden don't offer to pay people to spy on their neighbours, neither do Sweden use CCTV and the "terrorist act" as an excuse to spy on people and fine them for their way of sorting their rubbish. Neither does the council warn to give an 11 year old boy an ASBO and £80 fine for putting up flyers about a missing cat...I thought Sweden was bad when it came to these things, but then I moved to England and realized to my surprise that it's even worse here! lol. Big Brother is watching you, all the time, everywhere, 24/7.

Not so long ago I read in the news (in the UK) about a muslim man who worked in a pharmacy in Sainsbury's who refused to sell "the day after pill" to this woman, all based on his religious views. And believe it or not, but Sainsbury's stood behind him and said it was in his right to refuse to sell it based on religion. Last time I ever shopped in Sainsbury's. Idiots.

As far as I know Swedbank only charges 10 Kronor for a transfer made online within the EU. That's what I have always paid when transffering...

When transffering from the UK to Sweden with HSBC I am being charged £10, alot more expensive!

I only used my IBAN and BIC(?) and it took me about 3-4 days until I had the money on my English account. Quick, easy and cheap!

Oh no..Chalie went through..I didnt realise there was actually a worse act than Mr Perelli..Denmark.. and that went through, well I guess all the Sweden and Icelanders voted for it..and the tone deaf people.
Hopefully Latvia and Turkey do well though, the rest were just awful..
Way too many women just shouting instead of singing properly. Then Portugal..wa sthat not that awful army of lovers tune from the 90s..?

Why are you so into ESC if you dont like it?

I am really glad Sweden, Denmark and Iceland all went through! Norway was great too, so was Bulgaria and Andorra, also like Germany, France and Switzerland.

Yet again Sweden is one of the favourites! laugh.gif Hope it's our time to win again! Seems like most (if not all) polls out there predict (or want) Sweden to win! So obviously most people like/love the song!

Ah, the "wetbacks" of course, I should have known. The natives of Stockholm are easily identifiable by the way they lay in a prone position on the streets after drinking too much weak beer. All others are the wetbacks in their cheap imitations, up to the city for the day.

I really feel sorry for you. I mean it can't be easy to always 'have' to come up with all these nonsense drama/attention seeking responses?

I was trying not to respond to your stupid posts, but you are just so sad I couldn't stop myself!

Do you have a life at all?

I have been like you previously, when I did not have a job or a life, when I was just bitter and boring, but please, get a life. No one thinks you're funny, no one listens to you, no one takes you seriously, you are a joke, a pathetic old nothing. If you have an opinion, at least express it like a normal human, no one will ever listen to your nonsense...

Yes I do think that it brings change. If none of those adults had been abroad, I think Sweden would have been quite a different place.

And unfortunately I actually do know people who have never been outside Sweden, not many, but they exist!

broaden your minds? why? is the mind of swedes narrow?

I don't think that Swedes are more narrow minded than anyone else, but it is always good to experience new things, see new places, meet new people, I think that most people need to broaden their minds. If you only live in one place your whole life, with the same kind of people around you, it is hard to really see things for what they are, it is easy to become afraid of everything 'unknown' and 'new'...to become narrow minded. You don't have to move abroad though to open your mind, could be enough with a vacation.
