They have most likely just updated the website to reflect the rules better.

They may have had too many people applying who were not eligible.

There has been no change in law or Migrationsverkets rules.

A word of warning - some of the changes to the help that one can receive are relatively new and they may not be aware of them.

Another tip is that in Sweden you generally have to ask the right questions to get the right answers.

So if you can take some information with you to the meeting. Ask first in general terms. How can you help me to get meaningful employment? What programs are available? I want to get a job whilst studying SFi, are there programs that can help?

If they do not volunteer the information, then ask more detailed questions. I read the information on the step in job program, and apparently I am eligible, can you give me more information on that? I read the information on the new start job program, and apparently I am also eligible for that, can you give me more information on that? How do I go about...?

If you get answers like 'ohhh, but..' or 'thats only for...', ask for a copy of the of the information brochure.

Good to learn or good to listen to???

Good to learn:

Nationalteatern
Cornelis
Lars Winnerbäck
Thorsten Flinck

or even Carola (easier to understand)

With TV you can set the text-tv on so that you can read in swedish what they are saying whilst listening!

Another form of assistance the OP may benefit from is the nystartsjobb program:

http://www.arbetsformedlingen.se/For-arbet...startsjobb.html

With that program if the OP finds an employer willing to employ the OP, the employer may be eligible to receive a subsidy equivalent to double the arbetgivaravgift for a period of up to three years!

What the OP needs to do is to research what options are available and ask in the meeting!

Model T - if you really are who you claim to be then prove it by answering the following:

What was significant about your pet dogs in spain and the CIA before you moved to Sweden?

The real Trow would know... Perhaps something is wrong with the scenario?

By the way, the information was on a deleted thread so no point trying to search for it!

If you can answer that with enough detail then I might accept who you claim to be! smile.gif

A lot of things have changed in terms of the help and assistance to people who are newly arrived in Sweden.

There are a lot of different forms of help and assistance that the applicant should read about and discuss at the meeting.

In this link is information that can be of assistance, there are many pdf information brochures to the right of the page.

http://www.arbetsformedlingen.se/Globalmen...-in-Sweden.html

Not all of the programs are restricted to asylum-seekers.

By being de-registered the applicant may miss out on assistance and it could delay the OP from being able to receive assistance in the future!

The applicant by being registered can upload his CV and make it available for employers who advertise jobs on the site.

So there are many benefits to be gained and very little the OP has to lose!

EDITED TO ADD:

An example of the type of assistance the OP may be eligible is the instegsjobb program which the OP may receive whilst studying SFi. See: http://www.arbetsformedlingen.se/For-arbet...nstegsjobb.html

With that the OP may find it significantly easier to find meaningful employment whilst studying SFi.

Come on Model T(roll) Fraudie! tongue.gif

You will have to do much better than that!

The REAL Trow would have wrote a long-winded explanation on HAARP without saying anything about how it supposedly works and try to link it to his claims about how the CIA tried to poison his dogs when he was living in Spain.

IF you are the REAL Trow you would know what I am talking about... tongue.gif

You have to go the planned meeting.

It is to draw up a plan that covers what you will do and how you will do it. Such as how many jobs you will search for each month, what types of work you are looking for, how you will look for them, how they will assist you and other factors such as studies.

If you do not go they may (and most likely will) de-register you!

By the way, do you mean Vankin and Whelan the discredited, loony-toon conspiracy numpties... oh you do! And by the way, I actually have a science degree or two, proper ones, from reputable universities and not the Shanghai Dog-Fighting Widows Association or something, which is more it seems than these clowns have.

But then again an argument from authority is by definition is fallacious unless that authority is an expert in the field. Conspiracy theorists are only experts in nonsense... Even Fraudie Fordy gave up when he realised this was the case!!

To be fair Vankin has been writing comic books for a very long time!!

A credible source to quote from... wink.gif

OF course the HAARP nonsense was debunked a very long time ago!

But answering the thread question, the answer is who knows? Nobody is deliberately changing the climate.

But as for Global Cooling, that has been around for a very long time! The earth has been a lot warmer than it is now, and it is likely that we will experience some degree of a glaciation period in the next few years!

Trow, the only thing you can bet on is climate change... it never stays the same!

Interestingly directly before every major ice age there has been a significant increase in atmospheric carbon, before every little ice age there has been a period of 30-40 years of dramatic global warming - even if the earth has been cooling down!

We have just had 40 years of dramatic warming and a long time since the last little ice age!

The next major ice age is pretty much overdue.

The question for you is Trow is this: are we at the beginning of the last little ice age or the beginning of the next major one??? huh.gif

All a man can think is...

The General Theory of Relativity demonstrates that time is linked, or related, to matter and space, and thus the dimensions of time, space, and matter constitute what we would call a continuum. They must come into being at precisely the same instant. Time itself cannot exist in the absence of matter and space. From this, we can infer that the uncaused first cause must exist outside of the four dimensions of space and time, and possess eternal, personal, and intelligent qualities in order to possess the capabilities of intentionally space, matter -- and indeed even time itself -- into being.

Much simpler to understand wink.gif

This crap pisses me off every time it rears its head. Sadly it comes up far too often. Immigrants posting here trying to find ways to weasel out of paying anything. No wonder it is tough for an immigrant to get a fair deal in Sweden when this is the impression we give of ourselves. We get exactly what we deserve.

Whether or not you choose to listen to radio or to watch television is totally irrelevant. You pay for having the ability to to do so. If you choose not to plug in your computer or television, which is capable of being plugged in, that's your problem. Do you seriously think that you are paying 100% of the actual treatment cost when you go to hospital ? Of course not, I've paid for part of your care through my taxes. I pay a fee for healthcare in Sweden because I have the ability to use it and so that it is there when and if I choose to use the system. I travel on a below cost train fare to and from Kiruna every week because the kind people living in Stockholm contribute to the total rail infrastructure cost.

One thing I will criticise is that Sweden is behind the times when it comes to gathering broadcasting revenue. The majority of countries include broadcasting fees in their general taxation, and Sweden should move with the times and do the same. That way everyone pays equally and it puts an end to free loading immgrants who now have to look for another way to screw out a few kronor as some kind of God given right. Way to give a great impression for all of us. Go post it somewhere else.

Just more drivel by our trolls.

And the last poster, provided no source for the disengagement of the auto-throttles two minutes before the crash, and no source for the claim.

Was it an act of God? Caused by a laser on the plane which brought down a bolt of lightning which disengaged them? What?

No wonder he lost his tin foil hat!

Imitrowtion - the act of poorly imitating the real Trow! laugh.gif

How would a laser on the plane bring down a bolt of lightning?

How would that have any impact on the 'auto- throttles'?

If the plane was sabotaged so that lightning entered the cockpit instead of flowing around the outside of the plane then wouldn't everything in the cockpit be fried????? rolleyes.gif

you sound like a supermarkets dream, you don't feel safe unless your meat is pumped full of stuff by the vets, then packaged in lots of plastic and you have no idea how long much of it has been in circulation either.

I'd be more concerned about food hygiene in your supermarket or butchers, than that of animals which spend their whole lives free range.

Not at all! I like to eat red meats rare, wild boar medium rare to medium. Best to be careful with them.

Hard to get good lamb in most places!

It has been theorised for a long, long time that game meats are a natural reservoir of toxin producing bacteria that are harmful to people.

But see: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23384892

nope, these methods don't have magically germ killing properties, they are generally used for the naff cuts of meat, that need longer to breakdown the fat and sinew in them, to make that easier to eat. They are not used to kill germs that have developed in a freezer.

Not actually so. A lot of the traditional methods of cooking were developed for the purpose of being able to eat meats that had spoiled. Many cultures (including today) will still eat what we might describe as rotten meat (even if it is green in colour and stinks) by cooking at 100+c for hours on end. It has the benefit of not only killing bacteria but making the meat easier to eat.

There is a whole heap of scientific documents that relate to the functioning of bacteria and the viability of the bacteria after freezing.

Here is one for starters: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P...r00438-0021.pdf

Frozen food, just doesn't ever go bad in the freezer, bacteria can't grow.

That is temperature dependent!

Typical bacteria that spoil meat become totally dormant under -20c. Above that and dependent on availability of oxygen (for some) the food can still become rotten in the freezer. It just takes more time!

then curry, stew and casserole the rest later.

That is the key! How the food is prepared after!

Curry, stewing and those long cooked processes were traditionally used to eat meats that would otherwise make one ill! smile.gif
