Taxation of shares bought before moving to Sweden

Capital gains tax on shares (and ETFs)

I will move from Denmark to Sweden in October and become a Swedish resident. I was wondering what that implies for the shares (ass well as ETFs) I am owning right now. In particular, if I sell a share as a Swedish resident that was acquired before moving to Sweden, do I still have to pay capital gains tax on the full capital gain (this would result in a double taxation as I have to pay tax when leaving DK on unrealized gains) or do I only have to pay for the gains incurred after moving? Thank you for your insides!

Thank you, that is good advice! A quick follow-up question re the ISK account: Can you recommend one (for example with particularly low fees and access to common international markets)? Do they offer saving plans where I can buy a given stock or mutual fund at regular intervals? Thanks.

The two big net brokers are Nordnet and Avanza. Had Avanza only for many years but now I use both since a while. I don't think it differs too much. Nordnet had a mortage(?) offer that suited me better.

Avanza lists their available markets, but only national ones are available (with stocks from one country). Some more markets are available over phone.

I've a vague memory of reading a blod post about Nordea having more exotic markets available online, but otherwise it was a pain to use them.

Both have a monthly saving plan to funds. Nordnet offer it for ETFs too, might be Swedish ETFs only though.
