Is physical appearance of the baby needed?

Hi!

I am wondering whether infants need to be photographed just like adults before a card is issued to them? We are going to apply for residence permit for our 4 week old baby after obtaining our homeland's passport for her. Going to Migrationsverket office is not convenient for us as we have to travel 2 hours and I would like to know if we really have to take her so I can plan it accordingly.

I read on the website that infants do not need to leave fingerprints but nothing is mentioned about the photo. Thanks a lot!

When we did it for our baby, yes, they took photos of the baby... I don't think you can get away with no photos as the card is just like the card of adults...
