Good morning, I was wondered, to know your opinion about my case :-)
I am student from Slovakia (EU), and currently studying on Stockholm University in English and in the same time SVA Grund in CentrumVux in Stockholm.
I arrived to Stockholm on 2011-08-29, which is confirmed by letter of acceptance from University and transcript of record. The personnumer I have received on 2012-08-29 and I signed up in Migrationsverket 2012-10-03 I receive decision with uppehallsratt.
I am going to sign me up for the Utbildning program in Swedish, ekonomiassistent in CentrumVux.
My question is following: Am I eligible to get CSN studying help for autumn semester 2013?
I already asked in CentrumVux and they told me, that I can applie for that, and because I am going to be here in Sweden for 2 years I am eligible to get it, but still I am worried about my migrationsverket paper, because at beggining I didnt want to stay here, but after I find girlfriend here and sign me up there as well, can it be any problem in this process?
Thank you so much for your replies!
Best regards.
You do not qualify, sorry.
Is there no rule of staying in Sweden for 2 years to be able to got it? Untill now I guess so, but thank you for your comment anyway
If you came as a student, do not have a PUT or not in a relationship with a Swedish citizen or have not been in the work force the 2 year rule does not apply so you cannot get money.
You are not eligible for student aid unless you have 2 years working or as a family member to someone working
Time spent in Sweden on a student permit is not counted for student aid purposes
thank you guys! but one more thing, just for my knowledge, is this time, which I spent on University counted at least to the process of receiving Swedish citizenship? there I need to stay here for 5 years to be able to get it, am I right?
No, Your time as a student does not count towards citizenship as you are still considered a resident of your home country.
