Also, do I need to go and try and get my parents to dig out my A level school certificates before the 1st Feb?

Are your A level certificates required? Because I imagine they'd want to see your more recent academic certification which would probably be your bachelors..

I'm hoping that they wouldn't need them, but I want to give myself as best a chance as possible! I'm panicking a little as the course I really, really, want to do asks for 45 credits in a subject I don't have, so I'm trying to strengthen my application as much as possible!

Hi everyone, I've applied for:

Master of Science Programme (120 credits) in International Development and Management
120 Credits, Lund University, IN PROGRESS

Master of Science Programme (120 credits) in Development Studies
120 Credits, Lund University, IN PROGRESS

The number of applicants of both programme have reached over 1000. So nervous! Finger crossed!

I'm also waiting for SI step 1 on Wednesday.

Good luck to us all!

In that case, your best bet would probably be to get in touch with the department that you're applying to and raise your concerns about your eligibility. I did the same thing a while back and found it helped because I was able to email them my transcripts and knew as early as December which courses I could apply for and which ones would be a gamble, based on the feedback I was given. Email them as early as you can so that you beat the 1st Feb deadline?

Whoa, I saw that too! Those programs are pretty popular in Lund, the MS in Development Studies has a little over 1200 applicants this year, but the consoling factor is that not all who begin filling in their application go through with it till the end. Some people (non EU residents) end up not paying the application fee while others don't send in the required documents. Crossing my fingers for you!

Hello all!

It's my first time in this forum and I hope someone could try and help me figure a few things out.

My applications are

University of Gothenburg, Atmosphere, climate and ecosystem master's programme, GU-61898, IN PROGRESS
Örebro University, Master of chemistry in environmental forensics, ORU-59714, CONDITIONALLY QUALIFIED 120/999
Uppsala University, Master programme in forensic science, UU-M3801, IN PROGRESS
Luleå University of technology, Master programme in exploration and environmental geosciences, LTU-95001, IN PROGRESS

I am obviously freaking out because 120/999 seems crazy low... I tried checking the statistik website but it's really hard to make anything out of it as my Swedish is still very basic. I wonder if anyone could help me figure out if my rank is really al low as it sounds?

I will appreciate any kind of help. I am really counting on these applications! Thank you!

Hey all,

Same goes for master in sustainable dev, Uppsala with 997 students this year. Couldn't expect much tho but it seems it's hell of one competition. I have quoted few things in previous chats that needed to be sure if fullfilled coz thats the only way you get admitted. smile.gif have a good day

Thanks emmie! Yes, based on the statistics, not all of them completed their applications in the end. But it still seems more competitive this year. Anyway, let's wait for Wednesday first. Good luck!

I'm one of those 997 too! I also applied for the environmental forensics course at Örebro, but it was a bit of a last minute decision, so that one's gone as a late application. My first two choices were both in on time. I've emailed the admin office once and got a generic reply from them, so I'll try calling them tomorrow I think! Thanks for the support, and good luck to everyone!

Hello all!

My situation is similar to most:

KTH Civil and Architectural Eng. - IN PROGRESS (937 applicants)
Chalmers Structural Eng. and Building Tech. - IN PROGRESS (415 applicants)
KTH Engineering Mechanics - IN PROGRESS (522 applicants)
Lulea Wood Technology - IN PROGRESS (59 applicants)

Are they my fellow Civil/Structural Eng. applicants in here?

I would also like for anyone in here to answer me as to how the KTH merit rating system is - what makes up the 75 total (what contribution is past uni ranking, gpa, TOEFL, cv, recommendation, motivation, etc)

And also, is there like priority to past application - as compared to 'First Time Applicant', or what does the first time actually mean?

Best of luck y'all!

I am from architecture but i have applied in lund for masters in energy efficient building instead. KTH rankin merits are tough and high and such numbers with 937 applicants, its a competition. my first priority is sus, dev in uppsala with 997 applicants. what kills is numbers tongue.gif lol. well i consider less than 400 is safe and bit closer to get admitted ...

I also applied to Örebro University for masters program in applied statistics. My status as of this moment is displaying IN PROGRESS. How come yours has been assessed as CONDITIONALLY QUALIFIED so soon while mine is still in progress?

Hello everyone! I am a first time applicant so can anyone explain this merit rating thing? 100/999 is good or 999/999? And how one can judge whether he could get admission or not by analysis MR?
