What was/is, your motivation to take the time to research a members last posts???

Or is the database of TheLocal an open book to you as you have previously stated...

I have challenged you before to send me my database info privately, in particular my IP address, etc..

You have also mentioned that you know who/what posters here are known by different names...

It's time for you to prove yourself...

If you cannot, than just go away!!!

There is a new EU law that starts in May next year that will force all websites that collect personal data to offer the option to remove this - this data would include all posts, server logs, website analytic tools that collect IP address, etc. It is possible that the costs to implement this will force the closure of this forum.

The spam button:

It still does not work, but the spam is "Soft core" spam that probably would not be removed, had the button been working...

Maybe they are reverting to the "old" way...

Maybe a "Hard core" filter has been added...

Any thoughts???

I never have and never will pay to use a website. Most free websites get their income through advertising, annoying as this is to users but is a necessity in order to keep it a free service. The only person inconvenienced is the end user really, and as long as advertisements are not they key feature of the site then users will continue to use the site.

Although I have been a user of this site on and off for over a decade, I would say that I don't use it enough to justify paying to use it so I for one will not be back if that were the case.

Yes I think it is a useful site, especially for those who are new to the country and finding their feet or for those looking for specialist help and need help.

When I first started using this site the people on here were great, banter was good but then something happened. It all got very personal. Some key people left, which was a shame and then the site started expanding taking in Germany, and now other countries.

IMHO the site is not a close knit community as it was and charging for its use might be the straw that breaks the camels back I'm afraid.

I hope I am wrong but we'll see!

Servers listed include : Quake (New York)
But I am not going to list anything other than that.

The other option I suppose that could be implemented is paid membership only, to access this board.

I answered the question, and ensured your privacy was protected by listing a past used server and location.

To understand why this forum had collapsed, and what led to such an exodus of so called legendary posters. Whom all seemed to leave around the same time (2013)

Many of the top posters left that year.

https://www.thelocal.se/discuss/index.php?a...&filter=ALL

Streja, Furu, Puffin, Byke, Bender B Rodriquez, Yorkshireman, Princess P etc.

Did they know something ?

Then there seems to be huge shift , as users like Hissingen and similar "defenders of all things Swedish" come into play on the forum. In an almost militant take over.

And now , post the 2015 migrant crisis.
This forum is a wasteland.

No purpose anymore.
The site has imploded on itself
The News section is dead, as is the forum.

You seem to be quite occupied with member research for a person with no purpose...

I'll ask you again, you once stated that you had access to Thelocal's database and knew which posters have more than one profile name...Why not tell us and then leave since you think this forum is dead, what do you have to lose???

Lastly, you seem to prefer a forum that is critical of Sweden and it's people...do you???

And if so please tell us why...

Again what do you have to lose???

Multiple accounts (1000’s over the years) Majority appear to be created after a spat. More so to start fresh than to use multiple account simultaneously. Often see certain posters lose credibility on the board and come back as a new member.

1 example would be user falls out with board, leaves.
Comes back as new member. Often with the same motive / agenda / viewpoint / and the quest for positive feedback.

Prior to 2015, this forum was a heavily nurtured and monitored by state “interestS”. Both in regards to behavioral research, national distribution interests and monitoring. At that point it was one of the states most important PR distribution points. But social media now accounts for the majority of collection and processing.

This site is redundant. Larger companies now collect , transport, process etc.

Resources are being relocated as the climate has dramatically changed.

Your are a great "Dodger", and good at "Double Speak" you should be in Politics!!!

Your list is a bit off, two of the members you listed did not leave in 2013, how did you miss that???

You mentioned that you did not have a purpose now that the forum is dead, what was your purpose when it wasn't???

Did you think that your previous idiotic postings of crime reports, that flooded the forum helped to keep it alive and viable???

You are guilty in your attempt to ruin this forum that you now call dead and meaningless... Where are you coming from???

Are you sorry for your part in making this forum dead and a wasteland as you now call it???

Do you smile to a mirror for knowing what you did or tried to do???

You are a coward for not having the decency to answer my questions...

Why should anyone here think of you as an honest, and truthful member of this forum...

Sorry for the break in the spam button.

We upgraded a software package, and the upgrade was incompatible with the spam script.

It's now fixed.
