I hope you are right! I got so anxious that I sent an e-mail but no response yet. Actually I put my photo because I am not applying for Visby, the photo was OK. When I read that people were upset because they put their photos, I realized that it was not OK for Visby applicants. Other then that, it all looks the same. I hope they won't disregard my applications because of this.

Hi guys,I just realized that my CV is not exactly the same as the format they indicated we use. See, I just downloaded the doc. and saw that it was the same as my Europass CV, ... (show full quote)

This schorlaship is the only academic opportunity that I can have this year, I wasn't clever enough to make several applications to different countries. So it's either Sweden or nothing. Just like you my future plans and career depends largely on it.
The more you guys keep talking about the Europass CV format the more I suspect myself of having messed up.
I wanted to get to 10th April so badly so that I can know my fate but now I'm scared of it more than ever. I'm actually having continuous headaches right now and taking pain killers on and off. But I have just enrolled for a short course at my home country, so that I can have something to fall back on to or put my mind on just in case things don't go as hoped for. I hope my Easter and birthday month will have some good news.

Wow! What a hint from you! Thanks! I'll keep destroying my adequacy visualizing the moment I receive that email. It will be more realistic now knowing the exact headline. biggrin.gif

You've just put a little more pressure to the already-under-stress candidates here you know wink.gif ?

Imagine instead of only waiting for 10th, some will be very anxious by this Friday, and they'll become even more stressed during the weekends in case they don't get the email lol laugh.gif

Some people wrote here that they like to imagine the moment they first read the email (I do it myself). So, I put the name of the email here so that people can imagine that moment better and with more details, to have the full picture so to say biggrin.gif

I think you can still apply for other Unis and scholarships in other countries. I remember that most of them have a deadline coming up. Just sharing. If you don't mind me asking, where are you from?

So true, Aly. Davit, don't worry about it. I remember seeing somewhere, either Lund or Linnaeus Uni's last year statistics that they admitted a 45 year old student. Also, if I'm not wrong, a 65 year old man is applying for Uni and SI scholarship as well. He was asking the SI team on facebook if it is eligible for him to apply, considering his age and they said he's welcome to apply because they don't have any age restriction. I hope he's applying because that's awesome knowing that he's coming after what he wants at the age that people thought it's a done deal. Not trying to make you feel worse or anything, Davit. Just sharing smile.gif

So many Unis in Europe like Austria, Belgium, Germany, etc. are offering free courses like bachelor and master's degree to foreign students as well. One of my Vietnamese friends just got accepted into a uni in Germany without tuition fees. It's not a scholarship. They have been practicing this for decades now, Sweden used to offer free courses for foreign students as well but they just changed their policy in 2014 if I'm not mistaken.

You're right about Germany however I couldn't find anything suiting to me. They frequently require minimum knowledge of German aside with TOEFL/IELTS.
And yep, Sweden's changed the policy since 2013-2014.

There are other countries in Europe that offer this too, besides Germany. Also, if I'm not wrong, that friend of mine didn't have any knowledge in German whatsoever. You can always let them know that you'll sign up for German classes there or you just simply sign up for classes beforehand there as well I guess.

https://www.thelocal.se/discuss/index.php?s...st&p=910455. Why do you think so? where are you from?

Coz I didn't get the university scholarship and I think my motivation letter is weak.. wrote it 2 days before deadline!

QUOTE (Aly @ 3.Apr.2017, 10:44 PM) *
Guys, I'm almost sure the results will be out this Friday. Last year, they posted them on the web on April 12, but emailed people who received the scholarship on April 8.

How can you be so sure?!
This will add more stress if we didn't get emails on Friday!! sad.gif
