Hello,

We’re looking for volunteers who would like to test our new website and feed back their thoughts to our team. If you might be interested please get in touch by emailing oliver.goffe@thelocal.com for further details.

Kind regards,

If you are going to have a new site then i would suggest that you actually have some news. Another important point is that TL should stop slagging off the Swedes and Sweden in their so called articles. You should be promoting this country, not detering people from coming here.

It is good that you want to update your site and i know that Oliver is a great bloke as he was the only one on TL that helped us with the drug and passport spams.

BUT. Savage read my post above. You need to improve the site drastically, to keep your income and to inform people positivally about Sweden or one day TL will no more, as even FB readers are fed up with Zlatan and people at pubs in Stockholm (you get max 5 likes) trash. They want to know what is happening as they might want to consider living here or coming here for a holiday but you just slag the place off all the time

You should know by now Fox, that the journalists in the media here just have to tell the truth as it is (or as they are told to tell it).
Added to which they are SO neutral in their way of presenting that truth. What so many of them fail to realise is that they are, in fact, biting the hand that feeds them.
You also have to take into account the 'freedom of the press'.

As to your comments regarding Oliver - I heartily endorse them. He and his team have a pretty thankless task, yet they do whatever they can to keep the site rolling so to speak. Over these last few days there have been problems but they have appeared to have sorted things out. One thing that is a little difficult is, however, a spammer putting his text over in the Cyrillic alphabet which foxes the spam coding.

To Oliver:-
On the Stockholm Region forum there is a guy writing on the 'Kennel Services in Stockholm' thread under the name of Stakreyhag and all in Cyrillic. But with 6 postings one after the other on 30th September, and clearly indicating directions to the same website, it is obviously spam but, as said, the spam stopper doesn't read Russian.

Happy hunting.

This site has now switched from HTTP to HTTPS, which should help make it more secure.

Unfortunately this had a side effect of breaking the spam report button. That is now fixed.
