Posted by: keshav 15.Jan.2019, 07:31 PM

WP-1 : 2012-05-07 - 2012-10-31
Received Work Permit-1 (BesultKlass CO) worked in Sweden for 4 months and I return to my country

WP-2 : 2013-08-06 - 2015-09-27(BesultKlass X) worked in Sweden for 25 months and return to my country

WP-3 : 2016-07-04 - 2017-05-28 (BesultKlass CO) but didn't make use of this work permit as there was no assignment. WP1,WP2 and WP3 for the same company and Profession.

WP-4 :2017-05-29 - 2019-05-29(Beslutsklass: X) currently working in Sweden with local consulting company. Out of 2 years work permit my work period will be 18 months till May 2019. Work permit permits work with same profession as of WP1 WP2 WP3 and it is not attached to particular company

Now If applied for extension of my work permit Will i be eligible for Extension or PR.

Please help me with your valuable inputs please..

Thanks in Advance

Keshav

I would say Extension. 48 months of stay with WP for PR eligibility need to be mostly continuous, yours are too far apart. Though the case officer has some discretion in the matter.

If you have worked for 48 months in the last 7 years, then you will get PUT, but only if you've been living in Sweden all the time, I think. If you moved back to your home country for almost a whole year after only 4 months of work, then I'm not sure if they'll count those first 4 months (your first WP).

I had a WP for 6 months, then a study permit for 6 months to finish my master's thesis and then WP again (42 months) before I got PUT. I've been living in Sweden all the time though.

No, WP don't need to be continuous as long as you live (are folkbokförd at Skatteverket) in Sweden. If you have a WP, then move away, than have a WP again - that can be a problem.

Thanks everyone for your valuable replies.
I have finally received my PUT last week in-spite of mixed responses on thelocal.se discussion board.

Congratulations! It's nice to hear about a happy ending among all the doom-and-gloom around here.
