How did that go then? smile.gif

What a game, I can't believe we batted so well then did an England and nearly blew it before sneaking a tie. The bloody stream stopping 3 times in the last over did nothing good for my nerves whatsoever either.

Roll on Wednesday.

Ett starkare skydd för den enskildes integritet vid kreditupplysning
Den 1 januari 2011 träder ändringar i kreditupplysningslagen i kraft (prop.
2009/10:151, SFS 2010:1073). Syftet med ändringarna är att stärka skyddet för en-
skildas personliga integritet i samband med kreditupplysningar som lämnas på
Internet enligt yttrandefrihetsgrundlagen (YGL).

Hi
Last year only one of my 6 courgette plants survived the slugs but that was fortunate because this one plant became a monster, it was well over 1m in diameter and produced loads of courgettes. I recommend growing a plant or two but give them room.
I also had some brocolli that was going well until an elk came and ate them one night, git.
Beetroot has done well in my garden, as have potatoes.
Spinach has bolted quickly in both years that I've grown it, but I also had spinach beet (perpetual spinach) in this year and that did very well.
Kolrahbi got slugged. Rocket gets attacked by tiny beetles. Fennel does well though.
I'm just north of Göteborg, good luck.

A man goes to the doctor and says, "Doctor, I can't stop singing the Green Green Grass of home".
The doctor replies, "It's nothing to worry about, it's called Tom Jones Syndrome"
"Is it common?"
"It's not unusual"

Are you paying in to A-Kassa or another insurance scheme? If not then start now. You need to have worked (paid in) for six months I think, then if you become unemployed you get 80% of your wage for 300 days, (it's a little more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it).
Re parental leave, that has nothing to do with Arbetsförmedligen or A-kassa. Försäkringskassan work out an average pay for your last 6 months (I think) and then you get 80% of that if you chose the maximum amount, (you can choose to take less and it lasts longer).
Again, start paying in to someone now. A-Kassa probably isn't your best choice, your employer probably has an agreement with a union, find out who and their insurance scheme is probably better than A-Kassa. You don't need to pay union subs to be part of the scheme.

When dealing with Arbetsförmedligen just remember they don't give a shit. About anything.
The first time I needed to give them an update I took the trouble to go in, had details of jobs I applied for, the Swedish course I was doing etc and they looked at me like I was mental. All you need to do is send an e-mail saying, "I've applied for this job, this job and this job among others" and they don't bat an eyelid. Unfortunately they are equally lax if you are actually looking for work.
I was trying to get some advice about ekonomi courses and the reply I got was, "I don't know, sort it out yourself".

However, the one day I read the date wrong and updated them 2 days late they were quick enough to stop my money. I think that is all they do.

I think the car towing companies make enough money not to try pulling a stunt like this.

Hmm, well played Siddle.

Anyway, just thought you might like to know I've found official video coverage on http://www.cricketaustralia.tv/page/Home/
It costs approx 100:- a month, but I've worked out if you take the 5 day $1 trial on the first day of the second test then you should be able to see the rest of the tests for only one months subscription. I'm expecting a baby soon so might get this to make getting up in the middle of the night a little more bearable.

Writing "dom" is accepted pretty much everywhere, except maybe the university.

It is not acceptable to write dom in SAS A and I doubt it was in SAS grund either. As someone wrote earlier, I just think of how it would be in English. Them ends in em as does dem. Everything else is de.

They hit them..
De slog dem.

They can't find those yellow jackets for them.
De kan inte hitta de gula jackor till dem.

You could try giving Socialtjänsten a ring. http://www.socialstyrelsen.se/english/contactus

Or your local kommun perhaps?

I bet he wasn't expecting to have to sit through 4 years worth of council meetings when he decided to become a nazi. That'll teach him.

Agreed. Anyone suicidal enough to try and lock horns with their mother in law deserves all they get. Geography has nothing to do with it.

But it is so much fun! Plus you get to claim that you didn't understand them, that really pisses people off in an argument.

P.S I miss home too (country pubs), but I'm very happy living here, especially as mushroom season seems never ending this year (unlike summer).

If you have any kind of normal western education you start on level C.
Although judging by your spelling of the word skills this may not be the case.

I gave cigarettes up after switching to snus for three months, (ignoring the "occasional" lapse).

I'd have thought the best snus for a snus virgin is Göteborg Rape.

you realize that none of that could ever apply to living in sweden? have you ever even been here before?

I've heard of that 007. If the neighbour's being noisy and vakt is called out then the cost of calling the vakt is given to the noisy one.
