The cheapest flights usually come via consolidators. I know of lots of consolidators for other countries, but not for Sweden. Perhaps some names of consolidators could be provided on this thread. Would be useful.

One trick that I use to get the chepeast flights is to buy your tickets either through www.expedia.com or the local travel agent to the country you are flying to. The tickets I purchased for my wife were bought through a Swedish travel agent even though she flew from Las Vegas to Sweden. You have to watch what the crown is trading at. You can buy tickets from any country you want.

A consolidator got me a flight for more than $1000 cheaper than Travelocity and Expedia had it. Anybody know any consolidators for Sweden?

I got pretty good prices to New York, with a four day stopover in London, through lastminute.co.uk. 4000 SEK per person

One tactic you can try is a thing called "hidden city ticketing" The airlines hate it but I have used it many times to my advantage. You see the specials airlines have, what you do is find out where the plane makes stops and get off at the place you need to be. Very sneaky but it works. It just takes a whole lot of research!
