Need to get a new licence, my UK card and expired this month as they only last 10 years and the UK will not re-issue me new card as I no longer have a permant UK address ( this is fucking ridiculous by the way ) and I’m no longer registered on the electoral list thing so the UK (dvla) has told me I need to get a license for where I currently live.

I know the process is fairly straight forward to swap it in but does anyone know the card expiring this month ( maybe it was a few days ago) will cause me any problems. It’s only the card date that has expired, my actual license doesn’t expire until 2054 which it states on the back of the card,

Ta

From my understanding they confirm with the DVLA thst you haven't been banned etc anyway. Then just post your UK licence back to them. As you can only hold one licence. You still have a uk driving licence, it's only the ID document showing it that has expired.
