Lovely people from MV have issued me PUT. 16 weeks since I have applied for one.

I will keep maintaining the spreadsheet, so kindly ask everyone to update us with information - it will help others. Thank you and good luck!

Just received an email from immigration service this evening, stated:

"Your case has now been settled.

Please observe that this message does not inform you whether your application has been granted or rejected. You will be informed about the decision by mail (if you are residing in Sweden) or through the Swedish embassy/consulate that you specified in your application to receive the decision."

Does this mean I am granted my work permit?

Please share your experience, thank you very much!

Please read what MV has written for you AGAIN. It is written very clearly. However, let's break it down.

Please observe that this message does not inform you whether your application has been granted or rejected.
= this email does not mean they have either approved or rejected your application, it simply informs you that a decision has been made.

You will be informed about the decision by mail (if you are residing in Sweden) or through the Swedish embassy/consulate that you specified in your application to receive the decision.
= please contact your local Swedish embassy for the decision pertaining your application.

Thank you, Alex.

I emailed Sweden Consulate in Hong Kong and they confirmed my application has been approved.

So it takes about 3 weeks for me to get my work permit.

Application submitted on 3/1/2016, decision made and approved on 3/23/2016.

I have been panicking, because I am supposed to travel next week sad.gif

I was initially told to the wait is 5 weeks, then I saw on the website that it will take 2 months, so I delayed my flight by a month and cost me about half of my ticket price to change. Now more than 2 months later I am still waiting...
