To post here in good faith and in a comedic way, so as to provide an outlet for all those out there who lead dull, sad and unrewarding lives.

By creating here a small Edenic place to provide a refuge for those that need it, due to the harsh pressures and depredations forced upon them in their continuous pursuit of the unreachable pleasures and fulfillment that life only promises to them, but never provides.

Is that progress enough???

I am going to write a book about one of my exposes, most likely one of the unsolved murders like that of Olof Palme, John P. Wheeler or Suzanne Jovin.

Will make up my mind in the next few weeks.

Wonder who Gus is. Could he be my old covert buddy in Cuba, released as part of Washington's rapprochement with Havana?

Here is the thing, Model T.: our good friend Dr. Trowbridge Ford does not have a playful sense of humour about his name and identity. It is inconceivable to me that he would be including the name of a 100 year old American car in his posting name. I am also pretty sure that he stopped posting here when he moved back to Connecticut.

On the other hand, I am not adverse to someone taking up the good Doctor's mantle and mission. He is like Batman, Birger Jarl, and Elmer Fudd wrapped up into one. If you are worthy of being Trowbridge 2.0, then so be it.

Here then, is the test. Answer the following questions within 24 hours of this post.

Oh, hi Gus, didn't see your post, as I have been dealing with matters pertaining to the Jovin murder here at New Haven. You certainly sound like the real Gus.

I noticed that you gave the year that you were at Fort Holabird, as opposed to the name of the fort, but close reading has never been your forte, so that is within the margin of error.

Looks like those Castro brothers ruined your memory, Gus, as I went to Fort Dix in July 1952, and on to Holabird after Christmas.

Basic training was worse than anything the Cubans could have done to you. Our instructors treated us college graduates as if we were worse than the North Koreans, and the all black company across the way looked as if they wanted to start the revolution right then and there.

Moving back to the States has proven more difficult than I thought.

Will explain later after the blizzard sets in. Niow I am busy preparing for it. Looks like more Pentagon-made weather modification to me.

Think Mzungu is just taking his usual break in SA
