Dear Local team

Is it not possible that with my/our email and password combo
that we can login to the site (and have the option to remain permanently logged in) AND then read and respond to comments/post without having to get the login prompt each time we wish to make a reply or post!
...OR maybe Im missing somrthing here, coz ths is what I am currently doing

I do actually now think the forum has taken off really well and prefer it to the previous method of coments, however this logging in annoyance is ...well annoying and is hindering my enjoying fully the forum joviality !!

HI! I'm not the person you want however, just incase no-one answers for a while I will tell you what I do: I open the local page and log in then stay logged in until I close The Local page down. Are you logging on everytime you want to post something because that's not right :?

Bigd - the way you've asked for it to be is actually how it's meant to be.

You ought to be able to sign in, and then make as many posts as you like without having to sign in again and again.

How soon after your first sign-in are you having to sign in again? You are automatically signed out after a couple of hours - but presumably this is happening quicker for you.

If you could let us know, we'll look into it for you.

Sorry about the problem!

PS One other question - you're not using AOL, by any chance, are you?

I use IE 6 and Firefox and in both there is a problem that if you take more than a few minutes writing in the "Message body" then when you submit you arer asked to sign in again.

HOWEVER after signing in you can use the page back button (top left) in the browser twice to get back to your message and then press submit again and this time it goes through Okay!
