Congratulations, you can have a fika with mjuk pepparkaka, have pyttipanna for lunch and watch old episodes of Rederiet on SVT Play.

Hi guys!

I've been living in Sweden, together with my sambo, for almost 5 years now. I have a sambo visa with permanent residency which would mean that I could apply for citizenship.

The problem is that ~3.5 years ago we were forced to move away from our place so we temporarily received socialbidrag as a way to pay for our bills and cover the new rent, this however only lasted for couple of months. For the past 3 years we have provided for ourselves but I noticed that in the proof of residency section when applying for a citizenship it says

"a certificate which shows that nobody in your family has received maintenance support over the last five years."

Does this mean that even though we have been doing fine for the past 3 years I would still need to wait 2 years more to apply? Or would they only consider the past 3 years and ignore the rest as I am applying with a sambo visa?

Is this the beginning of a "flameout" of such magnitude that it will bring life back to this forum???

Will we take a side and advocate for our belief in such a way as to make mighty trees tremble and ocean levels to fluctuate in such a way that no one on this planet will remain dry!!! laugh.gif

Or will it just simply end with silence??? sad.gif

Gird your loins and smite the foe yea and verily rolleyes.gif

Hi all, I sent my application form and the fee in Sep 2017 however I did not submit my original passport. They said you can send us the passport after case officer is assigned.
After 21 months in June 2019 I applied for a case to conclude. But it was rejected. I have to wait in the waiting list.
Could the concluding application be rejected because I had not submitted my original pass before? Any suggestions? Thanks

Check the letter that you have received from MV, it has been mentioned why your request has been rejected!

Is it true that now MV must make a decision if you waited 6 months and asked them to conclude your case?

Is there anyone who waited more than a month after asking MV for case conclusion?

Yes. So they have to decide on your case within 4 weeks. Majority of cases I saw got rejection after 4 weeks including myself.

Why did they reject yours rocky_road? Did they reject your citizenship application, or your request to conclude?

They rejected my request to conclude. They said we need more information on your case and 4 weeks is not enough time for us! Not mentioned what info they need.
Seem to be all BS!
