The Local _ Finance _ Sending money to UK

Hello guys,
What's the best way to send money to UK? Where can I get the best exchange rate?

Hey!

So when I need to do it - I use transferwise or for larger amounts, Currencies Direct. I would suggest using transferwise as the fee (the exchange rate is normally similar) is extortinate through high street banks whether in the U.K. or Sweden.

Hope that helps!

The rate from Swedish banks is far from extortionate...I would never trust UK bank to do a conversion though.

That's kind of what i meant. You usually have to pay a fee for the bank in the UK to receive the money. Transfer wise eliminates it...and it's super easy to use.

another vote from me for Transferwise, use it a lot myself, good rates, fast transfers, can't complain.

Try Betalo app, where can see the rate that you will pay. I thought it was reasonable.

Check the costs of the receiving bank ie. NatWest charge £7 to receive £130, but it's cheaper to send £99 and then £31. Bizarre
