I find 2 things interesting on this persons posts. One is that she refers to daughter and boyfriend of being "around 19" ,does this mean she does not even know the age of her daughter and boyfriend? The other issue is that the daughter supposedly goes in, to defend the boyfriend against an armed police officer, and yet when a man supposedly sexually assaults her, she does nothing?

Yeah, maybe she was shocked into "freeze" mode after being touched up, but so much so that she didnt tell her boyfriend?

If this is a true case, its been made worse by the alleged victim. The rule to remember is, if you choose to defend yourself against a violent police officer, make absolutely sure that the punch you throw is a knockout, and make good your exit.

Well if she was drunk and hit a policeofficer in the face while he was trying to make an arrest - then being so violent - she is lucky if she just got her hair pulled and perhaps touched somewhere during the tummult - she could have been shot for attacking a police officer! ohmy.gif

She's probably facing some jail time

No one witnessed the assault in a public place, but everyone present saw her punch the cop. She should do some time. And yes, a guy grabbing her ass is inappropriate, but if she was drunk enough to slug an armed member of the police, are you even certain it happened the way she claims? I am not saying anything would make the incident acceptable, but when you are drunk, it's hard to be a credible witness with no physical evidence.

I always thought Swedish sentences were lighter than UK ones. Is this not the case then? Because in the UK this would, surprisingly, only result in a fine (assuming the facts as given by the OP).

It depends on previous convictions and the nature of the assault. Can be a low as a fine or as high as four years in prison. http://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A5ld_ell...tj%C3%A4nsteman
