It seems true. If you search for "Sweden" on the Dailymail, it comes up with nothing. Well nothing of the last few (important) days anyway.

What a load of nonsense. It is simply due to how the Daily Mail (poorly) handles redirection of traffic through their geofilters (something all sites do to handle copyright issues).

You can access all the relevant articles by just going to their website:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/immigration/index.html

For example:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-34...ged-murder.html

And Swedish media don't report the identity of anyone accused of a crime unless that info was already publically available. The UK media has no such restrictions, so yes, you can find the identity of people published in the UK but not published in Sweden. This is not censorship, just an anomaly where old-media practice hasn't come into line with the digital age...

Who knows, someday it might be *you* on the receiving end of some particularly nasty but untrue allegation. You might appreciate the practice then, I dare say.

It was the dailymail that chose to block Swedish computers from accessing it. What is funny though was they only blocked PCs so you could access just fine on your mobile phone

Update- I was listening to Sverigesradio yesterday and it turns out to be true. A journalist from P3 radio called the Daily Mail and yes, Swedish news stories were being blocked. Catch is they are being blocked from the UK not Sweden. Make of it what you will.

Anybody would think there was a referendum coming up in the UK, or something.

There sure seems to be a lot of posters here with their heads in the sand.

It is a fact that many European countries, including Sweden, have had filters on internet traffic for years now. If it isn't PC as per the filter admins, it doesn't get posted, emailed, etc...

If you don't want to believe what is obvious, that is fine. If you are half way curious, test sending/posting non-PC material and see what happens.

Incredible that YOU have chosen to IGNORE and FILTER the truth youself. Somebody killed this thread by answering and proving that they blocked the article themselves. They wrote a slanderous piece about Sweden and are in fear of getting sued by Swedes.
