Sounds very tricky. Without knowing the details it is difficult to comment, but it would appear as if you lived in a room in someone elese's apartment. The rent of SEK 9,200 seems very high for such a situation however. If she hasn't given you the proper notice then she is breaking the law and I very much doubt she can get you to pay for new locks unless your written agreement specifically provided for this.

You need to get a lawyer.

Hi, thank you for your answer.

Yes the appartment is rented by the "landlord" who is still living there.
It is a innoboende contract (paper contract signed), and the rent for January of 9200 has already been sent, before she sent me that mail.

I gave her my notice period of 3 month but she is not accepting it and she is really angry because I want to leave.

And during one month since I sent the letter of termination of the lease, she makes my life as hell, I started legal procedure through cops, hyresgaforeningen, and hyresnamnden because she is not willing to let me leave in 3 month and started locking the kitchen, and accusing me of false damanges to keep my deposits of 18400 sek...

Now we also have police investigation because she stole my document (proof of the post office that I send the notice period) and when I called the cops, she did the same just after and lie to them that I was hitting her...

She is also knowing that I contacted the true owner of the appartment, because the rent she is paying is 17000 SEK, and she is renting two bedrooms for 9200 SEK each. So she knows she will also get problems with them.

That is not the full story but a summary... And now while I am on holidays she changed the lock, surely because I was not scared anymore and started legal procedure.

I will try to contact hyresgaforeningen to see if it is possible to begin a lawsuit with them against her, otherwise I will indeed need to get a lawyer...

most lenders spend deposit for their needs and when time comes to pay it back, they will do everything not to pay it back from their own pocket, it is very common problem, good luck

The worst is that she threatens me to pay the rent for february :")

So just to put some info, I will go to the court with my lawyers.

It seems that the police will not help because the case is not important enough, so yes in Sweden you can change the lock and keep some of your tenants stuff if there is not too much. And even if you are recorded stealing a document, if the document is put on purpose because you do not trust your landlord, it seems that it is not good.

And for tenants, if you go to hyresgastoreningen, never told them you got into an argument with your landlord before the day you subscribe because even if after your landlord is kicking you out illegaly, they will not help you at all, only giving advice that you can get easily on internet. (they only help if you didn't have any trouble with you landlord before you subscribe, and maybe before you sign your lease).
When asking them to send me a proper email to summarize me my rights (concerning notice period) as tenants for this type of contract (so I can forward it to the landlord), they told me clearly they cannot, why did I even pay for them lol

First time in sweden, now being depressed (really), losing money, losing some stuff (not that much important but it still sucks) and only wish to leave that country soon.

No, in this instance, you wrongly accuse the police of not doing anything because they consider the matter important. This is not a police matter, it is a contract dispute.

Without knowing the contract details it is not possible to determine if the landlord is possibly in the wrong or not, even the extract you post of the message from your landlord mentions contract and agreement.

Strange, you haven't actually said that the filming in the bathroom claim is nonsense! You do realise that if you end up in court and that is raised, you may end up later with difficulty finding places to live (regardless if proven or not!). Remember, in Sweden, court cases are public information available to everyone.

The contract is just a normal rental agreement for one private room without notice period on the contract.

I don't wrongly accuse the cops, with everything that happened, I know what is the cops matter or not.
Stealing my document and keeping my belongings is cops matter I suppose. And the investigator on that case, who told me that all the charges she try to frame me has been dropped, also told me clearly that the case might not be important enough to start something.

Not bathroom but my private bedroom. She has been moving my stuff and doing things while I wasn't in my private bedroom so I wanted to know exactly what happened, and she stole my document. All things will end in the court, and I don't give a shit about public information of this case, it makes me even happier so people will be careful about that person who stole my belonging and 2500+euros

I know who I am, and I know finding another apartment is easy affair for me in Stockholm, and I don't even want to stay there anymore because of this story and the depression I gain from it.

And sorry if I sound aggressive.

Otherwise just to also clarify.

I went to holidays before Christmas, send the rent for January during Christmas, and receive this mail of eviction before new year, and I suppose that she did receive the confirmation of transfer for the month of January that day.
