Gothenburg eh?
I am in the same boat as you. Have you reached out to arbetsformedlingen? They will help you. They will also get you a coordination number. You really need one of those. |

Hi,
As a matter of fact I've been there in 2 different occasions and I wasn't given any coordination number or any info at all to fulfill my expectations to finding a job.I even asked for some kind of guidance through a local adviser but then again the answer was negative. I thought I might find a bridge over there but faced a wall instead. What do do? |

By the way; being an EU citizen how shall I apply for this coordination number? Is it difficult to obtain and which procedure I'll have to undergo?
Please can you provide me with some info? Thanks a lot. |

"If you work, study or have sufficient means to support yourself, you automatically have right of residence in Sweden and therefore need not apply for a residence permit or contact the Swedish Migration Agency."
So you need to have a work contract in order to stay longer than 3 months, and apply for a Personal Number to become tax resident. However, it's unlikely that a cleaning job will pay enough for one person to rent and live in Sweden. |

So sweden actually gives you 6 months. As far as being able to afford to live, any job qualifies as sufficient means and with gothenburg not being too expensive and it being sweden, I would expect any full time job to be enough to live off. You just wont be living the highlife. |
