Hopefully my girlfriend and her young son will be moving to Sweden by the end of the year. Does anyone know if there are any social clubs/associations for Russian speakers in the Stockholm area? I've looked and come up with zilch.

Just thought if she and her son could meet some people and talk their primary language, and engage in cultural events - that it would ease the transition of living in a new country, at least until they learn Swedish.

Thanks!

Come to Gothenburg. Not that it's full of Russians but at least your girlfriend would have one nail client.

I agree with the VHW. Gothenburg is a better bet.

Why don't you change your name to winnie the witch?

Privet!

I know there is a discussion forum for russians in Sweden. Have to look through my favourites at home. There are also a number of Russians and Russian speakers in www.friendsofstockholm.se
I'll post the link if I find it.

Cheers!

I hear that there is a group of Russians that meet most nights on Malmskillnadsgatan in Stockholm.

Hope that helps...
