I’m moving to Sweden and I have two options to start studying in Linnaeus University (Kalmar Växjö) and Dalarna university Borlänge but I’m confused which one to choose which is less lonely and active ? I don’t want to move into a dead boring city haha I want to meet people and socialize at the same time I prefer a good weather and calm environment and how’s jobs and lifestyles ? I’m moving in with my husband and 1 year old baby so how are day cares ? Are they expensive ?
Thanks all !

Not sure what would you consider boring, but lmao - even Stockholm is ultra boring and dead. Let alone those villages you just mentioned. I wouldn't dare even checking them out on Google maps.

Borlänge is the coldest place I've been to in Sweden. It was -35c back in 2002. smile.gif

Nah, she was a lot warmer! wink.gif We even sat outside the next day and ate pizza though it was only about -25 in the day.

You must be pretty lonely to pay a prostitute to join you in eating pizza.

Hi, Borlänge is upp in Dalarna. Famous for snow and skiing, not a big city.

Kalmar region is the "warmest" place in the mainland Sweden. Well populated but still they are smaller cities. Both the universities are not the top ones in Sweden but difference between top universities and not so top universities isn't huge in Sweden.

So based on your description Kalmar or south Sweden suits you better. Good luck!

Börlange and Kalmar are both small cities. However, Kalmar is more warmer and it is in south. However, Borlange is closer to Stockholm with a better connection to international airports. If you are just going to stay temporarily in Sweden, Choose Kalmar. but for a long term stay, I would choose Börlange to keep my connection to Arland and Stockholm city in a cheaper cost. Unless you like extremely warmer place where Kalmar wines.
