OK, here we go: i have an old (wonderful) Nokia 3310 phone. it has a Comviq sim card with all my contacts on.
also, I also have a new android phone the Huawei Ascend G300 which also has a Comviq sim card.
Does anybody know if its possible to put those contacts into the Huawei without having to do it manually, and without losing those contacts on the Nokia sim?
thanks, by the way.

As I understand you have two phones, both with their own SIM cards, you want to put your contacts from your old sim onto your new phone?

Get this app:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...e=search_result

Put your nokia SIM into your new phone and use it to copy the contacts from the SIM to your phone.

You now have your contacts on your phone which should synchronise with your Google account, meaning that for as long as you have an android device, you will never need to copy contacts again.

Your nokia sim will still have the original contacts on it and you can put that back into your old phone.

For the most part, with smartphones, store your contacts on the phone, not the SIM. Phone memory is much more flexible and contain multiple pieces of information per contact, a SIM can't.

Dont think you need an app, unless you want this free app (with internet advts included). On my Samsung (Android) you would put the Nokia sim in, press the green call button, select Contacts, bring the options up, select Import/Export and choose Import from Sim. Then swap the sims back again. I was going to say use your computer but your old Nokia is perhaps pre the computer connection era. But do use the computer connect to back up your new phone. Then you will likely have an easy update for any future new phone.

Hi,

you can import contacts from the SIM on the Huawei without a software app, there are instructions here:

http://deviceguides.vodafone.ie/web/huawei...-phone-and-sim/

So assuming the contacts are on the SIM in your Nokia, take the SIM out of the Nokia, put it into the Huawei and follow the instructions at the link above.

Then replace your SIM

Andrew

No problem, you should be able to use the app to put them back on the SIM too. It should leave a copy on your phone
