The Local _ Cooking _ What To Do

Posted by: helpplease 14.Sep.2016, 03:33 PM

yesterday we decided to eat lazania. we bough mince meat at a shop and made a delicious lazania at home.
but since yesterday i keep finding piece of bottle inside my lazania, and i am definitely sure there are from the mince meat (because of the ingredient that come to the composition of lazania).
i am wondering if there is any action i can take on that? if yes what are the steps? and the legislation in sweden about it?
i want also to acknowledge that:
- we did not save the bill from the purchase but we paid we card and also still have the package where the meat were.
thank you for any answer and idea

You can contact Livmedelsverket and report what you have found. I wouldn't expect that you could do much else, perhaps call the store where you purchased it and ask for a refund on the purchase price but even then I wouldn't expect to get one (a very common scam in Sweden). Unless you are seriously injured from the food product and can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the manufacturer is at fault you have no legal standing. Best to just contact livmedelsverket with a nice letter and maybe they can look into it and see what happened.

Call the supermarket asap and report it so they can control the rest of the minced meat.

Take a photo of the package, the piece of the bottle and send a mail to Aftonbladet or Expressen (Tabloid magazines). Or write about it on your Facebook. If the papers are having a slow day, they might run your story.
