The Local _ Language _ Learning Swedish for kids under the age of 18

Posted by: HaniSaghir 16.Jul.2014, 02:26 AM

Hi,

I have recently moved here to Sweden alone and I'm 16 years old.
Before coming here i have completed high school education with the exception of senior year (I'm doing Uk A'levels)
I'm a little confused about what my next course of action would be regarding my education,
I might be eligible for university entry, but i want to learn Swedish first as the degrees offered in English are very limited.
What should I do to learn Swedish?
Whats SFI like for kids under 18
Can I enter an intensive university course? will it be for free?(as universities here in Sweden are for free)
is admission into a swedish course in a university allowed only for prospective students?
I already started learning some swedish on my own using Rosetta stone and conversation with natives, so will i have to start from scratch if i join any suggested course

I'd love to get some advice for someone with experience,
Thank you smile.gif
