I don't think you can be labelled racist for saying that anyone who willingly follows a set of completely fictional rules to physically suffer is anything other than uneducated, delusioned or plain stupid. There are people of many races and religions who do this, stupidity isn't confined to islam.

The pope yesterday complained of global consumption, whilst itself investing in many industries and has an anti contraception stance.

Highly offensive thread and posts.

Not amusing or clever in any respect.

Its pretty long article but worth to read for whom don't understand.

1. What is Fasting?

Fasting is called sawm in the Qur'an. The word sawm literally means "to abstain". In Surat Maryam, Allah tells us about Mary the mother of Jesus that she said, (I have vowed a fast (sawm) for the sake of the Merciful, so today I shall not speak to anyone. ) (Maryam 19: 26) The meaning is

I am much more concerned with the jihadists than I am with someone fasting.

Let me clarify for you:

I am not concerned with people fasting, however, I am concerned with those who hate western ideals of democracy (but are more than willing to take public aid from the fruits of said democracy), who hate those from who practice other religions and who believe their god tells them it is okay to shoot, stab, behead, blow up with bombs or burn alive those who do not follow their twisted religion.

Do not confuse Christian fasting with Islamic fasting! blink.gif they are fundamentally different.

For example, Catholics fasting involves eating less than normal, the instructions are that the total amount of food in a day is equivalent of 1 normal daily meal. This can be split into 2 smaller meals that total 1 daily meal in volume. Only people between the age of 18 and 60 should fast, and since the catholic god wants people to be able to perform their daily life duties, if fasting means that you would be seriously hindered from doing so that would be contrary to the will of god and therefore you should not fast.

Islamic fasting is mis-named, and often misunderstood. It is not a period of eating less than normal, it is just a period where one does not eat during the daytime! In fact the night eating is a feast, eating to excess. If you check the food consumption for muslims during their fasting period you will find they eat almost double the average daily consumption than when it isn't a fasting period! It would be more correct to call it feasting biggrin.gif

Fasting versus feasting :-

To slightly misquote the words of an old song " What a difference an E makes."
