Sweden's second most popular newspaper has an article out today which highlights the threats and intimidation that are rife in Sweden's suburbs today.

Zeliha Dagli, who has previously been hailed as a "Hero of the year" for her work in trying to eradicate fundamentalism in the area surrounding her. But now she has been forced to flee her home in Husby.

Its a terribly sad story of just some of the issues facing Sweden today, to which some Swedish politicians deny even exist.

Please remember, just like politics, there are many people who deny these problems exist, including members on this site. But this is not some right wing agenda newspaper. Nearly all of these stories printed come from the most read and most popular Daily newspapers from Sweden, which never see the light of day in the English language.

"in recent years she has seen how the development has gone backwards."

"Finally beat Zeliha Dagli alarm that religious fundamentalists are taking more and more space in the suburbs, and that women are the big losers"

"She describes it as a mix of patriarchal structures, such as religious sects and criminal networks have an increasing influence."
