Due to a host of different issues, we haven't been able to update the news from Sweden as often as we would have hoped. But considering a majority of Swedish news goes through the TT agency, much of it is hardly independent.

But anyway feel free to run these Swedish stories through your favorite translation programs or 3rd party browsers like google chrome.

Remember this is just a few stories for today, and many other stories are often not reported on and many more never translated into English (bad for Sweden's brand image)

Remember, to also check out the light heated news from Sweden's other sources.

Child pornography in Sweden.

So, in Sweden, confessions to child pornography offences, followed by prosecution, leaves no residuals, allowing said child-pervert to continue working with children.

Simply WOW.

Lagom Sweden moves up from 7 to 10 on the creepiness scale.

Svea Court of Appeal are set to increase penalties against three men for the high-profile rape in Uppsala, Sweden.

Which was broadcast live on Facebook in January this year.

The 21-year-old previously convicted of rape is to see his sentence extended from two years and four months imprisonment to two years and eight months. (4 months extra)

The 18-year-old convicted of rape gets his extended from one year to one year and four months. (4 months extra)

The 24-year-old who filmed the rape see's his sentence extended, from six months in prison for eight months. (2 extra months)

Also worth noting that the 24 year old also faces another charge after he allegedly stabbed a relative a couple weeks ago. Which indicates that he wasn't sent straight to prison after his trial.

As discussed before, Chicago cant even compete with Sweden when it comes to grenade attacks. And when you google "Grenade attacks Chicago" - it just returns links to stories of violence from little old Sweden.
