I'm out shopping on my own today, wife's not feeling good. Plan to get some scummy food for tonight and the weekend. Plan to get a whole warm smoked trout for tonight with some home made coleslaw. For Saturday and Sunday see whats going or what takes my fancy. The other week I had lamb shank from Lidl it was awesome. Then its off to the bolaget for wine and good beer.
Seeing that I am not as young as many of you I will be tuning into BBC Radio2 at 8pm to listen to Tony Blackburns Golden hour and after that Friday night is music night, tonight is Beverly Knight singing Stevie Wonder songs. Three hours of good music, well for me it is.

What are you other guys doing.

Not doing much tonight but my wife and I are going to see Sierra Hull in concert tomorrow. She is a fantastic mandolin player and singer. Go out for a little dinner first. All good.

The weekend will be calm, going for a long walk with the wife and our big dog (Bernese), and will cook a nice chili con carne for dinner. After that time for Dutch TV and Kassa on BNN-VARA.
And playing some Overwatch in the mix... Comp play...

Just had roast chicken dinner, now intending to enjoy 6 or 7 Fullers London Porters. Listening to great 60's and 70's music.
Wont be up early in the morning.

Oh, happy women's day.

Will today visit the Rijksmuseum and then do some shopping for back home.
And some traditional dutch food, or what is left of it. Hema rookworst with mustard, and even stamppot of possible...

How’s your boy trump gonna improve American infrastructure without taxes? And shoot, I thought trump was gonna be raining refunds on everyone?

Do you not accept social security? I would hope so with your stance. Because although you think you worked for it... so did others, and now you are sharing.

But you are obviously living off a private pension not taking one cent from these silly wealth sharing programs like social security, or even Medicare.

How did you feel about the high taxes you had to pay in Sweden... oh wait...

The $150 billion Obama gave to Iraq would have paid my taxes as well as everyone I have ever met for the rest of our lives. So, you can understand my dislike for giving my hard earned money to a wasteful government. And that is but one example.

As far as Social Security and Medicare go, many who have never contributed one dime are getting payouts. That is a big reason the systems are in trouble.

At least in Sweden, I could more clearly see the benefits of the taxes with the free tuition, daycare, well maintained infrastructure, etc. However, I fear Sweden is going the way of Finland with all of it's misplaced social programs that are entirely unsustainable and will eventually bankrupt the country.

Cue the peanut gallery for some generalized saying about the “truth” or lack of.
