Playmate Theatre Malmö, small-cast professional theatre company in Malmö presents their third season of plays in English at black box theatre Bastionen, Malmö
(opposite Malmö Central Station).

The Goat or Who is Sylvia?
by Edward Albee

Performances are in English. 3 nights only 4/5/6. With an all-British cast.
Painful and yet laceratingly funny.

A provocative, powerful and surprisingly funny drama, from one of the twentieth century's greatest playwrights, three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, author of “Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf” and “The Zoo Story”. Winner of the 2002 Tony Award for Best Play, Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

A play about what happens when infidelity strips a marriage bare?
Can a marriage just… vanish?

Martin, happily-married husband and father, has fallen in love with Sylvia.
To his wife, this is a man who has been her everything for decades. It is who they have been forever.
He is a man with a perfect life, undone by a fatal flaw.

Dramatic, darkly comical and witty, this is a story about love and loss.
What makes a family work, what makes a marriage tick, what makes married couples laugh?
How far is society prepared to tolerate difference? And what after all is normal?
How do you rebuild a family when the unthinkable happens?

This Broadway and West End hit , recently revived in London in 2017 with Damian Lewis, an actor expert at playing characters leading double lives, "The Goat or Who is Sylvia?" is part of Playmate Theatre Malmö's third season, producing quality theatre as the only professional, small cast English-language theatre in southern Sweden.
