Stockholm underground motorway delay, increased cost likely after contractor removed from project

The Förbifart Stockholm motorway project has decided to terminate the contract of one of its primary suppliers for a central part of the construction.

The decision was made as a result of mismanagement, leaving the project at risk of increased costs and delayed completion, finance media Di reports.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), termination of the contract was due to the company in question showing “signs of a lack of ability to conduct work in a systematic environment”.
