First swine flu case confirmed in Sweden

Swedish health officials have confirmed that a woman in her 50s in the Stockholm area has contracted a mild form of the swine flu virus that has claimed at least 31 lives.

The woman recently returned from a trip to the United States. She was ill for three days with mild symptoms and quickly returned to full health without needing medical treatment.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed that 31 people have died after becoming infected with the virus, 29 in Mexico and 2 in the United States.
As of May 6th there were 1,569 cases of the outbreak confirmed worldwide.
