A Swedish bank inadvertently published a link to a porn site in a magazine distributed to hundreds of thousands of Swedish school children.

Lyckoslanten (‘Lucky Penny’), published by Swedbank, is billed as a “fun magazine about money” distributed in schools to more than 500,000 Swedish 9- to 12-year-olds.

The latest issue of the magazine included an article about the ten most expensive internet domain names ever sold.

Coming in at number five on the list is webcam.com, a website featuring hardcore pornography, which sold for 7.1 million kronor ($1 million).

“It’s very unfortunate,” Swedbank spokesperson Anna Sundblad told the Metro newspaper, explaining that the magazine is “much appreciated” by children.

“To all of the upset parents we can only say we are really sorry about what happened.”

Sundblad added that Swedbank has since published information in Lyckoslanten with information about how parents can block their computers from accessing pornographic websites.

Ouch! Definitely not good for business!

Greetings and merry holiday seasons,

Banks get away with "murder" (eg. in eastern europe, western europe). The conspire to make debts thru "Bad" risk management and then get put back on their feet by all the governments of the world and in some cases the international monetary lending institutions IMF / Worldbank / european development bank, etc. They have a major cushion in all aspects; money is king yet money is the root of all evil; literally now.

Mistake mistake, why didn´t they mistake some 10´s of thousands of crowns to each of the kids accounts?? Why can´t they do that now as a token of apology and to the parents too? This "suggestion" promotes promiscuity and normalizes as well as highers the annies of sexualization of the society!

Call me sometimetoquestion and say my name again!

Well this incident clearly goes to show no matter how one wants to look at it and confirms that the banks are a major frontier for the already in place "occult commerce" .

Holocaust is not something that was it is something that is happening everyday!

MInd us all that the banks cannot be indicted for this and I do not think any public prosecuter is even going to move a hair on their head about this issue. It will be "bagatelliserad" and the already "astray" youth will have gotten some more help along the way.

A very bad joke this is.

In the country that gave the world Christine Jorgensen, every kind of kinky sexual freedoms, gay marriage, child porn in public libraries, etc, why should people be apalled since this is a brighter new Secularist Progressive Utopian world?

Thankyou for the recommendation by you for me to get a life. I will mark your authority on that anytime; anywhere.

I am kinda proactive and have gotten a life that I very opinionated made the earlier letter; my "newfound" lifes principles. You must be one of the "fhew" mankind always at hand to rationalize away attention from and critic of the "giant" companies "ansvarsfrihet" responsability pushing away attitude.

Comment: inadvertently - without knowledge or intention; "he unwittingly deleted the references" unknowingly, unwittingly advertently, heedfully, mindfully - in a careful deliberate manner Goes to show that their expertise in the banks is not up to any acceptable standard. Consideing their main competence area they fail and place blame on ....... I cannot remember what / who and now again in their very vital growth area of internetbanking for the youth. Blessup

Sodom and gomorra was never in the past we moving into it head first.

reference:

The Holocaust (from the Greek ὁλόκαυστον (Holókauston): holos, "whole" and kaustos, "burnt"

Now many were gased to death in the more accredited form of use of the word........ right? However above definition could be extrapolated easily to describe mental and or spiritual burning if we wish. And the holocaust is a refferal to an offering being made too! So........ ......... whats the point with words if they just cause pain and increase ignorance and cause confusion within and without.

Don't they want ALL kids in Sweden to be 'enlightened'?

Swedbank was just practicing what is being preached.

That is..if we have any such innocents left out in society.

Banks sending letters to kids is like drug dealers sending candy to mental asylums. I hope the lucky Penny will ends up costing them a pretty penny now.
00:01 December 19, 2009 by anpasa
I don't know, it seems perfectly sensible to me. Why wouldn't a bank extol the virtues of the market, regardless of morality & ethics? Some people might consider "a fun magazine about money" to be somewhat pornographic.
08:20 December 19, 2009 by sometimetoquestion
Just goes to show the mindset at these institutions. No following "proofreading" since there are no consequences for the shortcomings. The banks are never really scoulded at all since they are in cahorts and in a extorting fashion/stance to any countries governing systems.

Reminds me of Bart Simpson. Even though he is animated he get his message well accross that the consequences whatever they may be are worth it and in many cases can be fun. The banks do not seem to have any consequence analysis at any level or in any department and many employees are junkies no matter how tidy and smart they may look- we personally think it is just a cover for the rubbish beneath. This rubbish expose itself every now and then.

Tales of crazy Swedish classes, hamfisted attempts to understand - and explain - real Swedes, and varied experiences of fellow foreigners gathered for your amusement.

Behaviour change must be endorsed weather we like it or not since senabilities last drops about to drop out of society.

It would have been worse if they lied to the children by omitting domain names from the list just because the contents of the site were "immoral".

Like the society needs to get more immoral!

its swedish culture we should admire such culture with gay pastors, homosexual priest and now this bank, this is ok,wait for More.
09:06 December 20, 2009 by sometimetoquestion
It cannot just be swedish culture. It is a culture seemingly condoned the world over. Look in USA it has been kinda admired the impementation of the swedish model..... in many perspectives not just the welfare.

And sweden is unfortunatly very vocal internationally especially concluding the EU presidency and all tht stands for. What did they actually achieve during their tenure?

The climate change action plan is good and well meaning but the reference as to what clmate encompasses or ought to enlighten is not the social climate and garbage spewing out all in the name of business and domesticating the citizenry.

It is good business for some industries however for a good percentage of the holocausted souls a catapaulting away from redemption is the case.

What did you expect from a country like Sweden? Throughout most of the world Swedish women are thought of as "Easy" and dim witted blondes. Why? Because of your lack of morality. As long as I can remember, and that is Too Long, the Swedes where known for not having a religious or moral core. Sexuality was a part of life even for their children and that is so sad. Their children are allowed to "Play House" at an age that would disgust most parents in other parts of the world, except the Middle East, Southeast Asia or Russia where girls are property and not concidered as people with feelings, and they are thought of as just a party favor or a breeder. Can you say Tiger Woods? He has so far been unfaithful with 14 different women, on a continuing basis, for as long as he was married and look who he is married to,,,a look-a-like Swede who fits the afore named woman, whether she is or not. You get what you ask for and the reap what you soe. Nuff Said!!
17:36 December 20, 2009 by sometimetoquestion
True true dutchman.

A whole set of worthlessness and by some order have and continue to steal the show of science and technology witht he nobel prize. Imagine a peace prize from the land of fornication. I just wonder what means to peace are to be accenuated. paedophilia or fornication. They are then allowed to to adopt kids from allover the world and corrupt the "innocent" kids to a lower form of life!

This must be as bad a system without morals as no democrazy; guess it is to be understood as one and the same thing? I am fishing here.

Anyone intrested in more of these perspectives? A formal complaint could be timely since we already are victimised and marginalized as everyday parents and citizens of sweden; afreeswedes kinda people.
