Smuggling from Afghanistan to Sweden, let me guess, there's plenty of countries where they can work in between, so they probably are searching for something else!

These guys don't look 14-18 years old, they probably mistranslated 24-28.

The fact that they were "smuggled" in should not alter their status vis-a-vis Swedish immigration laws. "Some of their parents had been killed by the Taliban"? I wonder how many times this sentence has been used for spurious asylum claims, in order to tug at the hearts strings of a bleeding heart liberal? This story is far from complete. Let us know all the facts. Chances are that all five should probably be expelled, and asked to apply for residence in a legal way, along with all those who dutifully follow the Law. By the way, isn't this also a textbook example of why immigration/passport controls should be re-introduced on the Öresund Bridge? What better proof do you need? One can only hope that The Local follows this story, and that it does not get buried. It will be intersting to see how quick and (in)efficient Swedish immigration bureaucracy really is.

I suggest people watch the movie "In this World" (2002), which tells the story of two Afghan refugees who attempt to reach England through smugglers. It's a very moving account, and you come away seeing how treacherous the journey is--which sadly claims many lives. But you also begin to understand that the people who come over have paid smugglers a LOT of money. These are not "youths" who have been kidnapped and are now turning up in the woods against their will. The point is that they pay people to drop them in countries where they know they won't likely get sent back right away. Smuggling is BIG business and as long as countries keep allowing refugees to stay, there is no incentive for this illegal activity to stop.

Yes, after reading a number of comments on various subjects on the front page here, I've found out the truth alright: I've realized that this is where the true riff raff of the local.se reside. For whatever reason, these posters appear to very seldom post in the discuss forum.

All of the intolerance and xenophobia expressed here is quite perplexing. Once, it used to be balanced out by more level headed posters, but they seem to have abandoned this web site in increasing numbers. For good reasons it seems, and all we have left is the peropcos and Davey Joes of the cyber world. The Jack Spratts and Holeycutters at least have a sense of humour when they bash Sweden, not so with these bozos.

I wonder specifically about this poster peropoco and his capacity for hatred. It ought to be clear to everyone who´s read more than a few of his posts that his hatred for Sweden appears to stem from something that is more of a mental disorder. Anybody with a need to express hatred to such a degree must suffer from low self esteem and a general dislike for himself. You don't really need a PhD in psychology to realize that.

Let me venture a guess: he probably spent a year or two in Sweden, failed to get a job, failed to get a Swedish girl friend, which of course causes him to lash out against his main competition, that is, Swedish men, and Sweden and everything Swedish in general. So he returns to the home country with a new found hatred, a scapegoat on which he can blame all of his own failings and insecurities in life on. Then all he needs is a computer and access to the Internet.

But really, as I wrote, to be like him and to express the things that he does, can only have it's roots in a deep dislike of oneself and disappointment in how one's own life has turned out.

One thing I've also found out though, during my many years of Internet usage is that posters like him all eventually get banned from their respective web sites, it never fails, because the moderators eventually have had it with them.

We used to have a real lunatic positing here on the local a while back, who wrote in a similar fashion, B.N.W. With him it was one endless tirade of hate mongering. But at least, as Mzungu once pointed out, he was much more imaginative and entertaining than this guy, head case that he was. We haven´t heard from him since he was last banned from the site.

Again, and more generally, the hate mongering and general xenophobia and intolerance of a whole slew of the posters here - all of them young, frustrated males, of course (you don't need to be Sigmund Freud to detect that) - is quite surprising.

If you get out into the world, you will find that the reputation of Swedish girls as easy is huge. That explains why Russian blonds alweays make it clear they are not Swedish before men have ideas.

Responses such as this one here speak for themselves and really only corroborate what I wrote in my earlier post. i.e, first they attack Swedish men because they´re the main competition for the attention that they seek from Swedish women. Then when that doesn´t suffice, they attack Swedish women, because as everybody knows you hate what you want but can never get.

And of course the main argument to debunk my claim is apparently the word: "LOL", which gets repeated over and over.

I must disagree, as well as the comment about starting a Boy Band, this made me laugh and there is a grain of truth in the comment as well.

What you have to be looking at is why did they get to Sweden ??

If they get cash money every month then they will be forced to send a large percentage of this money back to the people who organized their trip to Sweden.

If they get to be made Swedish then of course they will have the right to marry somebody from their village and bring her to Sweden, and her Mother and Father, and their Brothers and Sisters and before you know it there is a whole clan of people all getting cash money every month and all sending a percentage back to the organizers.

A British Newspaper did some research on a so-called Asylum Seeker who got the right to stay in Britain, he got a British Passport as well, so this guy brought his Family over, all 38 of them ! none spoke English, none of them could get a job and the State ended up paying for them and many more like them which is why the Social Security costs in Britain are approaching 200 Billion Pounds every year.

This is more than Defence and the NHS costs combined !!
