Ex-Nazi: 'I was Auschwitz sign middleman'

A Swede suspected of involvement in the theft of the "Arbeit Macht Free" sign from Auschwitz has spoken out about his role in the raid on the former Nazi death camp.

"My role was to go get the sign in Poland. I was the middleman and was
supposed to take care of the sale," the man, a former neo-Nazi whose name was not disclosed, told Swedish daily Expressen.

The paper referred to the man only as "a former Nazi leader."

The Polish daily Fakt identified the man as Anders Högström, who in 1994 founded the National Socialist Front, a Swedish neo-Nazi movement he headed for five years before quitting.

Another Polish newspaper, Gazeta Wyborcza, referred in its article to "Anders H."

After leaving his party, Högström, 33, claimed he distanced himself from the movement and joined an association called Exit which helps youths quit far-right movements, according to Swedish media.

Polish prosecutors said on Wednesday they wanted to question three Swedish
residents over the December 18th theft of the death camp sign, without revealing
their names.

Five Poles have already been arrested.

The men are charged with theft and damage and face up to 10 years in prison.

According to Expressen, the "former Nazi leader" claimed the sign was to be sold for several million kronor (hundreds of thousands of dollars) which was to be used to finance bombings against the Swedish parliament and government.

"But that was not something I wanted to be involved in or carry out, in any way," he told the paper.

"I contacted the police immediately, as soon as the sign was stolen, and gave them all the information I had. I haven't committed any crime. I was the one who saw to it that the sign was found," he added.

Police recovered the five-metre metal sign -- which means "Work Will Set You Free" in German -- on December 20th in northern Poland and arrested the five Polish men. The sign had been cut into three pieces.

The sign above Auschwitz's gateway has long symbolised the horror of the camp, created by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland in 1940 and in operation until Soviet troops liberated it in 1945.

If this isn't a set-up of the ex-Nazi - trying to prevent others from becoming ones by his work with Exit - who inflitrated the plot to prevent its success, I'm a monkey's uncle.

Högstrom was obviously brought into the operation with his expectation that he was helping remedy it, only to discover that he was to be one of its victims - what led him to call the Swedish police, telling it where the sign was located while protesting his innocence.

Wonder who would organize such an vile plot for a man who was trying to make up for his past?

Again with the Mossad. Please show me where they are mentioned in this article? Your Mossad theories are unsubstantiated and irrelevant.

This theft has to do with the Holocaust and what the Nazis did to the Jews in Poland in WWII. Your tangent shows disrespect to the atrocity that was perpetuated on European Jews by the Nazis. A symbol of Auschwitz(where an estimated 3 million Jews were exterminated) was stolen for some sort of trophy and all you want to talk about on this forum or any of the other forums related to this news is how Mossad has orchestrated it. Is it so inconceivable that a rich neo Nazi hired other neo Nazis or street thugs to steal a desirable trophy? A Mossad connection makes so much more sense? Have you ever hear of Occam's razor? The simplest explanation tends to be the correct one.

You claim to not hate Jews, but you certainly show no respect for what was done to them in Poland or WWII Europe. All your posts are Mossad this and Mossad that. If hearing that offends you, then maybe you should forward your posts to all your Jewish friends and see if they approve. Don't take mine or Nemesis' word for it. Ask some Jews and see if they think you sound like a Jew hater.

You can go on about The Holocaust - a dreadful crime which I have never denied in the slightest - until the cows come home but it is irrevelant to the crime committed by unknown parties regarding the theft of the sign over the entrance to the Auschwitz extermination camp.

The stealing of the sign was managed by covert operators, most likely Mossad ones, who hoped to connect what they arranged at the Polish site with some leading Nazis, one apparently in Britain, via the pliable Andrews Högström, a former neo Nazi who was most willing to make up for his past by helping ferret out such scumbags - what was apparently the stated purpose to him of the operation.

It was only after the five in Poland had stolen the sign without any further notification and clarification of the operation that Högström realized that the whole scheme was just to expose him to its benefit - what led Högström to contact the Swedish police, telling them where the sign was then located while protesting his innocence.

This is a classic kind of setup - what benefits Israel if carried out successfullly, and the Mossad is most expert in. Just look at how it set up that invalid in the planned assassination of the New Zealand PM, or the outing of Dr. David Kelly so that he could be murdered by its resident kidon in Britain.

I am not about to ask the citizens and supporters of Israel what they think about me for explaining these clearly established plots; no more than I would ask Americans or Brits what they think about my theories about all their plots and cockups.

Citizens of countries in the West don't like being told that their government are just rogue states, little better than their adversaries. They just want to be a continual state of denial, like back when The Holocaust was being carried out.

I must say, something does not add up about this story. In my humble opinion the prognosis put forward bu Towbridge is quite likely to be true.

And I have Jewish friends, so am definately not an anti-semite. But MOSSAD is one of the most criminal & conspiring intellegence agencies around.

I would not be surprised if this scenrio was infact real.

It's high time that citizens of all countries woke up to what their covert agencies, especially in Israel, the USA and Britian, are regularly doing - just making the world worse and worse by the day.

I still want to remind the administration of this site about what it needs to do on another thread regarding the theft - where Nemesis has repeatedly and gratuitously claimed that I am a blatant anti-semite no matter what takes place - i. e., take it down or I shall live this site. I would post this yet again there, but I am prevented from doing so.

This is a clear abuse of posting rules which I will not tolerate.

There is an interesting book, "The Invention of Jews by Shlamo Sand." The author is a professor of History in Telavive University. He shows that that there has not been an outward migration of Jews from the Middle East to Europe and Russia. The Jews outside the Middle East like their Christian counterparts were white converts. The Book is best seller since its publication in 2005.

The majority of original Jews, who were Semitic, converted into Islam after the 4th century, while the rest kept their religion and lived in Moslem countries as minorities. According to Shlamo Sand, the claim by the Bible that the Jewish people migrated to Egypt and the Roman Empire is false. It never happened.

My point is the vast majority of Jews in Europe are Caucasians. One can accuse one for being against Jewish religion, but not accuse one for being anti-white when one is white himself/herself (because the vast majority of Jews who migrated to Israel are white people). My overall points are three:

(1) Name calling does not make an argument more correct. As a mater of fact it makes a discussion shallow.

(2) I do not think any person in his right mind is against Jewish people. They are like any other people who want to have bread on the table, school for their children and security.

(3) What one has to be against is the behavior of the Israeli state to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state.

Audrian, thanks for bringing this up. I have to admit to being totally confused about the issue of racism against Jews. As I understand it, Judaism is a religion. So if one opposes the religion, what does that have to do with race? Especially since one can choose or not to join or leave a particular religion (apart from Islam, which does not tolerate a Moslem choosing to leave it). And those who do choose to be Jewish include a very diverse variety of national origins and physical types. So where does the race concept come from, other than the Nazi's? What is supposed to count as a race? Is there a Christian race or a Buddhist race? If it's defined by choice of religion, then one can choose one's race, or ... ?

You really seem to need the opinion of others to affirm that you are not a Jew hater. I am not Jewish, nor Israeli, but I am a supporter of Zion. Additionally, I could not care less if someone thinks I am a "moronic Zionist slob." (Rick) Why does it matter to you that someone thinks you are an anti-Semite, especially when you continually point to Mossad who has not been implicated in any way?

Every developed country has some form of covert foreign agency. Whether it's Britain, MI6, the US' CIA, Russia's SVR, China's MSS, India's RAW, or Israel's Mossad, to name a few, they all operate internationally to advance the interests of their country. If all the actions of just these named agencies were made official the scope of involment would be shocking I am sure. However, no one knows for sure, and frankly never will. Is Mossad involved in this theft to somehow discredit Sweden or to deflect attention from their actions with the Palestians? Maybe, but continually spouting Mossad conspiracy theories when no evidence has been posited by you or anyone else, makes you seem like a nutter.

Why does it matter? Because it is a much more serious charge - what may well become a criminal offense, even in Sweden - than claiming that you are a "moronic Zionist slob" - which you are!

As for knowing Jews, my only wife for over 25 years is a Jew, and I only divorced her because of her bipolar problems which led her to physical attack me, divest me of all the funds she could get her hands on, run off with other men to have random sex, etc.

One of my best friends with whom I roomed with while a graduate student, Professor M.M. Goldsmith, was Jewish. He, unfortunately, did in 2008.

Through such connections I got to be acquainted with dozens of Jews. My in-laws even considered me one.

So, are you now suggesting that I go around to them and others, and ask them if they think I hate Jews?

As for the hated Mossad not being involved in scores of dirty operations, you should take a look at an article like this:

Well I am a Zionist and I am proud of it. I have read countless books about Mossad activities as well. Always interesting and at best anecedotal. Certainly some of it is true, which I have never denied as possible, here or anywhere.

However that is not the point. As long as you know some Jews and are married to one, you can say whatever you want and not be called out for your comments no matter how irrelevant they are? So by your way of thinking, a white guy who has black friends and is married to a black woman can say the N-word without fear of being rightfully labeled a racist cracker? Using human connections as shields for bigotry is one of the oldest verbal conventions. "I am not a bigot, I know many, (insert minority group here) friends."

I fear that you will never understand though. Your hatred of the Mossad blinds you to the fact that this story has to do with the Holocaust and a symbol of that atrocity being stolen. You show great disrespect to that memory by continually blowing your Mossad conspiracy horn and not focusing on the facts as they are currently known.

You don't even read what I write, so why do I bother?

I am no longer married to a Jew, as I made graphically clear. More important, I have never used her or other Jews to justify my claims about the crimes that the Mossad, especially since that scumbag Meir Dagan took over. I just mentioned my associations with Jews and non-Jews to show how absurd your request that I ask them whether they think I hate Jews.

As for my claims about Dagan's setting up Anders Högström to be the scagegoat for the Auschwitz sign heist - what he had sense enough to spot when it started unfolding, resulting in his calling the Swedish and Polish police about its whereabouts while protesting his innocence in anything criminal - note that the Polish authorities are not even considering this possibility in investigating the crime, only talking about neo-Nazi collectors of memorabilia, hooliganism, waste metal hunters, angry nationalists of one sort or another, etc.

Talk about having the world by the balls when it comes to covering up Israeli crimes!

And the site only has until midnight to meet my demands or I am gone from it and all you nutters.

everybody is so rough on Trowbridge. ¿why cant we have a compromise? lets pick another Zion (one located in a less volatile place). I mean, Theodor Hertzl, the first dude to think up the Jewish homeland (Der Judenstaat) wasn't set on the lands surrounding Jerusalem. Lets just give `em half of Utah to share with the Mormons. As for the Nazis, perhaps we can give them their own homeland. we can plop them into big camps where they have the plenty of time to focus (concentrate, Nazis, concentrate). no more conflicts with the Nazis and Jews (and everyone else in the world, for that matter, who isn't a Nazi), and no more conflicts with the Jews and the Palestinians (and Arabs and most of the rest of the world). I´m sure the Mormons would love it, because they´ll have plenty of non-Mormon doors in their neighborhood to knock on to share their love of heavenly father.

Just a note to let you apologists for the Mossad know that I am still around to confront its operations, and shall continue to do so as I see fit.

While I am the belated stand-in for the dead neo-Nazi James von Brunn - the screwball who conveninetly shot up the National Holocaust Museum, killing black guard Stephen Johns in the process, after President Obama called the world's attention to the Nazi atrocities during The Holocaust at Buchenwald last June - he, unfortunately for the Mossad, died earlier this month before he could be tried - what would have been manna from heaven for the Israeli intelligence agency.

To make up for the lack of a trial, it stagged, it seems, the Auschwitz entrance sign heist, and you guys have been trying to make me a substitute for the vile von Brunn.

I shall not only be writing an article about it now, but also seeking legal advice about what I can do, given what this site has allowed you to engage in.
